Summary: Ilya just won her last badge. Time to celebrate, and what better way than with a nice, refreshing trip to Blackthorn's hot springs?

The battle had been pretty easy, really, but Ilya was still in the mood to celebrate. After all, this was the last badge she needed before Johto could be just a memory for her, and she was very eager to see what the elite battles in Kanto were like.

The usual way to celebrate in Blackthorn was to take a dip in the hot springs, and Ilya had decided to fall in with tradition, mostly because it sounded like a great way to relax. She was humming to herself as she stepped inside, waving the other members of her party in after her.

"Come on you Slowpokes! Quit lagging behind!"

"I had to pick up at least a couple tricks from you, didn't I?" She shifts her weight around Ilya's arms, trying to get comfortable again.

"I'd be disappointed in you if you hadn't." She holds very still, letting Kairi settle herself before she shifts her weight. It's not like she's uncomfortable, after all.

"I try to be a good student. Wouldn't want to miss any lessons." She giggles to herself.

[dressofheaven]

"That's good, because I have a lot to teach you." Ilya's giggle joins Kairi's, and they sound like a pair of gossiping high schoolers.

"I'll take lots of notes." She coos into Ilya's neck.

[dressofheaven]

"Smart girl." She pats Kairi's head gently, amused.

And then leans back a bit, squirming and settling herself now that she's sure Kairi's comfortable. It only takes a moment, but her legs were starting to get pins and needles and she hates that.

"I'm not too heavy, am I?" She leans on Ilya's side, putting some extra pressure on her. "I can move if you want."

[dressofheaven]

Ilya just waves off Kairi's concern, shifting her arm around to subtly push back. "No, it's fine. In the water, you barely weigh anything. I've just been sitting for too long."

[paopuprincess]

"We can get out if you're getting tired." She blinks up at her friend.

[dressofheaven]

"Not tired exactly, just very warm and relaxed... and we're both probably starting to look pruny."

"Should we start heading back then?"

[dressofheaven]

"I suppose we may as well. I don't think falling asleep in here would be good for me. It really is a pity none of the others actually showed up..."

[paopuprincess]

"We can fill them in on all the excitement they missed." She snickers, scanning the immediate area for her towel.

"After a nap."

[dressofheaven]

"What, you using me as a cushion?"

She passes Kairi her towel with one hand while another reaches out and snags her own off a particularly prominent rock.

"Maybe we'll leave that part out." She laughs, throwing the towel over her head to dry her hair.
