"I still... want to be friends," Sora finally said after an agonizingly long pause. "But I don't want you to be uncomfortable, either."

He paused again, not entirely sure where he was going with this. Forward seemed like a better direction than being sad over things- so Sora bent down, evolution stones out of his pockets and in his hands- on the ground as he sorted through them.

"So... let's just try to do whatever makes you happiest. Okay?"
