Summary: it's the one year anniversary for the Yu and Yuudai Breeding Centre, so it's time to celebrate!! Karaoke, barbeque, beer, karaoke, and more!!

It has truly been a long year for the Breeding Centre; dealing with over thirty Pokemon running around, constant phone calls, two rampage Gyarados destroying half the building, lots of fires, and so on. It's a sheer miracle that this centre is still standing and it always amazes Souji every single day that the business he has once set up in his hotel bedroom has evolved into something so massive. Never has he actually thought it'll become this successive enough for him to buy a large house to one side of the centre, another for the Foster Home on the other side, and a second branch all the way in Celadon City. It has truly been an experience this past year and he'd be lying if he didn't think it felt strange owning a business like this. After all, he has insisted on going into teaching, not business like his busy parents, so how ironic is this? Very, but he's still proud of how everything has turned out so well. So, it's only reasonable to have a huge celebration for the one year anniversary.

There's no streamers or giant signs or anything, it's rather quite bare of decorations, kinda like the way Souji likes it. It would seem like any other normal day, but the level of noise coming from the Breeding Centre House's area sure says otherwise. With the loud booming music and the sounds of tone-deaf people attempting karaoke can be heard from streets away, and it's a wonder why no one has phone in the Officer Jenny squad down yet. But who cares, it's the one-year anniversary, it's time to go wild!!

Always good to hear! I'm glad so many people were able to gather for this. It's great to see everyone again.

It's always great to see everyone. Everyone I know are usually scattered around.

I was traveling up until I came here. With everyone doing their own thing, it can be hard to meet up in person.

I'm staying in Goldenrod for a while before my next trip. But yeah, all of us have plans and jobs. Goals, too. [So plenty of reasons why they don't see each other as much.]

And what is your goal in this place?

Earn up some money before travelling to Kanto.

Planning to take on the gyms there?

That's right! I heard they have stronger Pokemon teams in Kanto. I would love the challenge, and my Pokemon need stronger opponents.

I should try to visit Kanto at some point. But I'm not sure if my Pokémon would be strong enough...

Depends on your Pokemon's levels. I know Antec is strong enough. The others need to catch up, level-wise...

Around what level is Antec?

Level...100? [Yeah, that high.]

...If that's the case, I really am not prepared at all to go there.

I have a few around level 80, but the rest are anywhere between level 7 and level 60.

Ah, I see. You probably shouldn't challenge the Kanto gyms any time soon. I heard Sabrina's team are all level 100s.

Level 100... isn't that as high as they go?

Yeah. It's the highest limit, as far as I know.

...Maybe I'll put off the trip for a while longer. Then again, it might be alright if I avoided the gym battles...

Yeah. There's other things to do beside gym battles. You can always tackle them later!

My priorities aren't focused much on gym battles, but if I'm here long enough... perhaps I will.
