SUMMARY: Saber and others have prepared for a festival for a certain holiday

Goldenrod City has always been a fairly busy place, so the bustling to prepare for a festival doesn't necessarily go unnoticed, but it's not so out of the ordinary that the NPC's will stop to question it. Just another day in paradise. With the clouds in the sky and the swarm of firey Pokemon to a minimum, the temperature has sunk to a respectable level for a celebration. Throughout the day the festival and the people involved start to spark to life, the activity levels increasing. There are two large piles of wood waiting to be lit up, as well as various other decorations. Most of the colors of the area are a variety of red, orange, and yellow with sparse amounts of blue tossed throughout. While most of the decorations are made out of wood as well, there's a few water Pokemon on duty to keep things from getting out of trouble.

As well as a couple of other guardians. It would be difficult to sabotage such an event, but those who are brave enough to try will be met with chivalric ferocity.

Beltane is advertise as a festival to celebrate many things in different cultures. Don't worry, there's a handful of individuals around who are all too eager to explain what it means back home for them. Walpurgisnight for some, a festival for fertility for others, Mayday even. The date is significant enough to have many different meanings, so naturally a celebration must occur.

This is a festival that will last from the afternoon of April 30th to the afternoon of May 1st. There is a section set aside for tents and camping should people feel they want to stay overnight. Feel free to set up your own threads or post under the ones already set up. The tournament is going to be 'Round Robin' style. Fights can be hand-waved and feel free to use a RNG to determine the winner if there are any conflicts. The beauty contest will also be determined by RNG once all the participants have joined in. More details about both of those threads can be found in the linked sections. There is also a ribbon pole to dance around, various games like torch throwing, and other miscellaneous activities like face painting.

[Adder's eyes are fixed on the fire, a small incense stick in her claws as she waits for Midgardsormr to return with the pokegear. She wants videos of each event--and helping light the bonfires was important right? Even if she wasn't entirely used to her new trainer, the Bagon still wanted to show him that she was trying to be a good Pokemon for him.

Though she's sitting by herself at the moment, Adder's not entirely unapproachable!]

[Kiki's spotted this particular group of pokemon a few times throughout the gathering. Each time, she wondered where their trainer was, especially when the group of them seemed to be passing his 'gear between them. She spots the Bagon alone, though, and that seems like a safer bet.

Hesitantly, she wanders over, patting down her dress, a stick of fire incense lit in one hand, with that kind of cheerful bravery one gets when surrounded by familiarity. Momo, her Skitty, isn't too far behind.]

Hi there. Is your trainer here?

[The Bagon looks up, almost confused for a moment. She hasn't really been expecting being talked to--it was still unusual for her to hear Hiccup address her. After a moment, though, she shakes her head. Nope! The little viking was definitely not at the festival.]

[Kiki isn't all that unused to talking to animals, even in a baby voice. She knows Pokemon are smarter than that, though, especially from the Bagon's reaction.]

May I sit with you?

[Adder looks down, claws fiddling with the incense as she thinks it over. Again, though, she nods before scooting over to the side as if to make room for the girl. Hiccup always seemed disappointed when she refused to socialize, and it was better than just staring at nothing while waiting for the Dratini to find her again.]

[Kiki settles, Momo the Skitty hopping into her lap to curl up.]

She lifts her own stick of insence, reaching over to touch Adder's with it.]

[She looks over to Momo, giving a friendly growl in greeting. Even if she doesn't like speaking, Adder has some semblance of manners.

The Bagon stares at the incense gripped in her claws, because while she hadn't really been considering it before, it was true. It did smell nice. Really, though, she had just wanted something to toss into the bonfires, since that seemed like the thing to do. Adder gestures with it over to the dancing flames before miming holding a pokegear up.

Not that, with her arms, it was particularly clear.]

[Momo mewls politely right back, tail swishing lightly in a semblance of a wave. Momo isn't too talkative herself, so eventually she settles again, nice and toasty between the fire and Kiki's lap.

As for the witch herself, she squints a bit at Adder, lifting her insence stick.]

You want to...toss them in? Okay.

[No, Kiki. INCORRECT.]

[At this, Adder actually stirs more than allowing a simple nod, instead getting up on her hind legs while quickly shaking her head. She sticks her incense into the ground, making sure it will stay upright before plodding closer to Kiki, placing a set of claws on the witch's arm.

After crooning a negative, she decides that an actual prop will work better and starts rooting around for Kiki's own pokegear. The Bagon is intent on her search, and doesn't notice that the Dratini has returned. Midgardsormr watches her curiously from above, tail curled securely around the device.]
