Whether you're a tournament participant who's on break between battles, or just someone who'd made it all the way out to Kanto just to watch, there's something for everyone. Vermilion City is bustling with energy and excitement over these few weeks. Shops have been set up, selling all sorts of interesting looking merchandise, and the stadiums are brightly lit, even when there are no battles going on.

[Envy scowls before getting a bit more control over his expression, acting as though he doesn't care and even simultaneously shrugging and gesturing uncaringly with one hand. Still, he's frowning a little.]

He's aware enough of his complete lack of painting skill that he knows he'd probably fail, and the prospect of losing any sort of contest again is enough to dissuade him from trying. Not that he's going to admit that's why, of course, so he quickly puts on an unconcerned smirk.]
