Let's get down to business
Who: The PGC and those following them in.
Where: A large enough building in Goldenrod to fit everyone.
When: Saturday, January 12th
Summary: A meeting to discuss a raid. Hopefully this doesn't blow up in their faces.
Rating: PG for now; will change if needed.
Log:
[It's become almost a habit. Find an abandoned or for rent building in the back alleys of Goldenrod, scope it out and make sure it's safe, then call everyone to it and get things started. It's no different this time, even with Saber's offer of the Breeding Centre, so no one should be surprised.
Or maybe they should be, just a little. There's no tables with food, no chairs or couches to sit on. Just Lightning and a whiteboard at the back of the building, with a sketch of the Radio Tower in thick black marker on the board. Once everyone is inside, she turns to the board.]
The plan is relatively simple. Anyone with something capable of using Smokescreen will go up to the roof and flood the ventilation ducts with smoke. We wait until the people inside have cleared out, then head in while in disguise and mop up anyone left behind, non-lethal methods only. Once that's done, we split into squads and search for anything we can use to prove that it's Team Rocket holding the tower, and then we get out and go our separate ways.
[through out all of this, she's been making marks on the board; lines and "x"s to the roof, and more of both to the front door. But now she puts the marker down, staring at the board as if holds the answers to all of lifes questions.]
We have no blueprints or map. Everyone you see here is all the backup we're going to get. We're only going to get one shot at this. [she sighs quietly, then puts her shoulders back.]So. [she turns back to face them, hands loose at her hips.] Any questions or ideas?

Really, she's rather excited.]]Â
When it comes to the disguises, are you talking about wearing a uniform of some sort to blend in with the Rocket members?Â
[[A few questions can't hurt, however.]]Â
More importantly, how exactly are we supposed to breathe inside the Tower if the smoke hasn't cleared by the time we enter? We won't exactly have the chance to wait for it to dissapate.

[As for the other question, she tilts her head a bit.] A cloth mask over your nose and mouth, and goggles so it won't irritate your eyes. I've seen the nurses use the masks when they're treating certain Pokemon species, so we can get those at the Center. Buying goggles won't be that hard, either.

Would it behoove us to do a little reconnaissance? My Emolga is fairly good with my 'gear. He could record the goings-on at the tower for a couple of days, to see if there are guards or other things we need to watch out for.

Re: Questions
And Dinah [Ron thumbs at his Audino] says she can listen through closed doors to make sure no-one ambushes us.
no subject
[she leaves it at that, not feeling the need to say just how stupid it is when it should be obvious. As for Dinah...]
Would she be able to keep up on her own? We're not going to have the time to wait her out at every door.

Does anyone here remember how strong the pokémon of the Team Rocket members that attacked the Magnet Train a while back were? I mean, I know these situations are still pretty different, but it might be a good idea to go in expecting a decent number of the rocket members in the Radio Tower to have pokémon at least in that level range, though probably stronger considering how long ago it was.
no subject
[She wasn't on the train by virtue of being out of Goldenrod at the time, but she remembers that day. Remembers friends hurt. Remembers it being the catalyst, both for the Corps and for Team Rocket's increase in violence. They have to meet that head on now.]
Take the strongest Pokemon you have. You won't be working alone, so levels shouldn't be much of a concern.

He'll be keeping his eyes peeled for familiar faces, as will his Pokémon. Although he's managed to keep his calm thus far, those with a close eye may be able to notice at least some tension in his posture and expression.]

That's the only reason she spots Riku and the tension in his frame, causing her to walk over and stand nearby, seemingly the picture of nonchalance.]
You know, you can still back out if you're that worried about this.

Twilight knew it was a good idea to bring her notebook along. She might have already known most of the general attack plan, but the slightest detail can be critical, and besides, she has to take note of the questions and ideas brought up by the others too.
And don't worry. She'll let you copy her notes this time.]

[Hikari moves over to her squad mate, giving her a quick smile.]
So, this is it. We're finally putting a plan into action. How are you feeling?

Still, it's a little awkward to be there knowing who else was there at the meeting... Not to mention just how uncertain he feels about the 'mission'. There are too many unknowns for his liking, but Konoha ninja have come through missions with less knowledge than this before (as far as he knows). Whatever he's doing... He would succeed.]

There's a big reason why Hope doesn't like this entire operation, and it's because of so many holes. For one, even with disguises they can still be recognized by the Pokémon they use, if anyone has a penchant for using uncommon species-- such as himself with his two Blastoise and three members of the Eevee family tree. That's easily remedied as he has a large selection of Pokémon to choose from, but still.
What then after the Radio Tower? Even if they're successful and leave, there's still a chance that the Rockets will try and retake it.
And that's not counting what else could go wrong.
That's why he's so quiet and not contributing despite his usual ways and experience with tactical strikes.]

Atsuro looks around for people he knows, but especially his squadmates. If they're sticking together, it'd be better to chat. Despite his casual tone with his Lanturn, his body language is pretty much saying he's a little nervous.]
