Breeding Center Open Log

Who: Everyone living at or visiting the Breeding Centre in Goldenrod.
Where: The Breeding Centre in Goldenrod.
When: July 10th through the 18th.
Summary: Several people planning to participate in the bug catching conventions have been invited to stay at the Breeding Centre. Between them and the current staff, what sort of shenanigans will they get up to?

(Note: All visitors/residents are encouraged to make their own threads. More than one of them, if you want!)

The Breeding Centre was not a small building. In the past, it had housed several residents quite comfortably, but time and disappearances had whittled those numbers down to the point where there were now several vacant rooms.

This made it the perfect place to gather if you had business around Goldenrod.

Besides, with the amount of Pokemon that had been left behind and taken into the Foster Care, it seemed only natural to open up the doors to those who might be interested in seeing them.

And so the doors had been thrown open for several visitors for the duration of their stay. Now the only question was, would this turn out to be just what the Centre needed... Or a complete disaster?

*apparently, at some point, it became known to Wyatt that Joker's egg had originally come from the breeding center. Which they were now conveniently in the same town! Wyatt was quite curious about this (as was Sierra for completely unrelated reasons that are beside the point) and wanted to go see, though how on earth this information was conveyed to their taciturn trainer is anyone's guess.

But in any case the end result is Geddoe approaching the center with a kadabra, a shiny samurott, and the ever-present manectric in tow...*

[ An interesting travel group, but Saber's not one to turn down people no matter what the situation. Here she greets him with a wave, adding in additional ones for the Pokemon that follow. ]

Welcome, have you come to meet with anyone in particular?

Apparently Wyatt wanted to see this place.

*the samurott maks an affirmative sound, removing any doubt as to just who Geddoe was talking about*

[ Peering towards the Samurott curiously. Rare is it that a Pokemon wishes to visit themselves, but she's seen stranger. Kind of just happens after living in Pokeworld for a couple years. ]

Hello Wyatt, a pleasure to meet you. Is there something I may assist you with?

*Wyatt nods and gives a response in typical pokespeak fashion; Geddoe just shrugs*

Joker's egg came from here originally. *he nods to the kadabra* Apparently Wyatt got curious about it.

[ Strange as it is for a Pokemon to want to visit, it would be rude to ignore their trainer. She eyes Geddoe before looking back towards Wyatt. ]

Are you interested in how we care for the eggs or is it something else, I wonder...

*since really unless you're fluent in pokespeak asking Wyatt probably won't be of much help...*

*which earns him a look from Wyatt, but the samurott otherwise makes no protest; much as Geddoe seems to let his team do what they please, they actually seem to be well-trained*

No, that is alright. I just have never seen a Pokemon more interested than their trainer.

[ Wow, was that rude? She shoots him an apologetic look after. ]

Don't worry about it. We don't have anywhere else to be right now.

*which, taken with his rather out of place mercenary leathers, could really be taken as implying something about how poorly he fits in to Johto....*

*he's already done the Johto circuit, and doesn't see a whole lot of point in just repeating the same thing again in Kanto now that he has all the HMs.... though her invitation does get a raised eyebrow*

During the summer, there are less volunteers here.

[ She explains shortly after. ] It used to be a full house, but now many have moved on from this world and those that do remain have chosen to travel instead.

I admit I am not likely the best employer. A shame, but I work people too hard.

While she's not much of a talker, she does point out various things in the Breeding Centre as they walk. She will pause if he does have any questions though! ]

There is a lot of space, but that is because this establishment used to be full of individuals. Now many have them have returned home.
