KEY:

• BLUE areas are where the bulk of the party's events will be located! As you can see, the festivities will be taking place largely outdoors, and the grounds will reflect that; there'll be the usual decorations of pretty floral arrangements, little lights, things like that. Think upscale garden party! There'll also be a ballroom indoors for more traditionally fancy red-carpet goings-on, but most of the action (and volume of guests) will be found mingling out back.
• GREEN areas are where guests will be staying overnight! Unfortunately, you'll be sleeping-bagging it up, since there's a limited amount of bedrooms in this house and they're all being occupied by Clair, Lance, the Elite Four, and guests who are regrettably way more important than you. However, this is where you'll be given space to leave your possessions, claim some sleeping room, and generally crash for the night once the festivities do you in. (Note: you're welcome to try to sleep elsewhere, but Clair might catch you and disapprove. You don't want that, do you?)
• RED areas are unfortunately off-limits to guests! If asked about them, anyone will tell you that those are the rooms and areas that the Elite Four (and their special guests) have claimed for themselves, and they're sealed off tight. Please don't try to break into them anyway; you'll only be caught and punished.

• AREA A is the designated Indoor Ballroom area, for the people who prefer the classy elegance of a formal red-carpet gala over the more whimsy outdoor garden party atmosphere in the back. There's a big skylight, hardwood floors, tasteful artwork, and classy music — a little more upscale than the shenanigans going on outside, for the people who'd rather that kind of thing.

• AREA B will be the area of interest for anyone hoping to sneak a little Pokemon research on the side: this is the Library/Gallery area of the house. While most of it is your standard "tall shelves of ancient identical books" fare, there are a few points of interest — we've detailed them further right here. Guests are welcome to look around a little, but burying themselves in research the whole time will be highly frowned upon, and you'll be politely encouraged to leave the library alone and go rejoin the festivities if you hole up in there for too long.

• AREA C is...well, the Parking Lot. More importantly, it's where you take your Pokemon battles if you simply gotta get your battle on; keep it out and away from the house, please, and try not to make too much of a mess. Skirmishes, sorties, and sparring will be tolerated here and here alone. Do it anywhere else and you'll be facing some very displeased hosts.

• AREA D is the Elite Four's Trophy Room. Please be quiet and respectful if you come up here to have a look around; it's a solemn kind of place. Here you'll find various collections of badges, ribbons, awards, and trophies put on display, with one wall devoted to each member of the Elite Four. There are also pictures of the Elite Four members themselves, though it seems there's been a changeover since the last prom; the candids and Official Portraits™ depict different people entirely now (with the exception of Bruno) and there are a few photos of some sort of ceremony among the others. These photos include Lance being declared Champion of both regions by Professor Oak, while the rest of the Elite Four look on; Lorelai hugging Will and Karen immediately after their promotion to Elite Four; Agatha and Koga having an exhibition battle between her Gengar and his Crobat; all six of them piling into the frame for what amounts to a massive group selfie, etc.

[ Aradia arrives in the company of friends - specifically Roxy Lalonde, who is her designated friend date (i.e. the person required to dance with her if she runs out of dance partners, and vice versa) which is acknowledged by a flower corsage around her wrist matching Roxy's bright pink dress. Aradia herself is dressed in a much darker red overlaid with black accents. Her hair is braided back for once, too, which was...okay, probably someone else's work, let's be honest here. She's about as cheerful as ever which is...well, really cheerful.

She is accompanied on the Pokemon front by Indy the Gengar, Eggbert the Gastrodon, Panini the Pachirisu, Crabsickle the Kabutops, Lucky the Butterfree, and Fluorite the Chandelure. The only one who stays within Aradia's company at all times is Indy the Gengar, though he occasionally wanders a little bit away to try and scare someone, if the opportunity presents itself; he never leaves Aradia's line of sight, however. The others circle back to their trainer frequently, but otherwise socialize to their own natures. Crabsickle is the only one who does not because socializing is for chumps, and he will just be a loner in the garden, thanks. Aradia can be found in the following locations:

a) outdoor garden party

[ Araida is speaking with her recalcitrant Kabutops, hands on her hips. Indy the Gengar, behind her, is mimicking her pose exactly. While laughing. ]

...I just don't see why you wanted to come if you didn't want to interact with anyone! It's a party; parties are for fun!

[ WELL MAYBE HE DOESN'T WANT TO HAVE FUN DID YOU EVER THINK OF THAT!! No he really just came to keep an eye on you losers can he just hang by the wall now, it needs people to hold it up. ]

b) indoor ballroom

[ Aradia spends most of her time dancing, except the portion of time that is spent in the library. She really likes parties, and will agree to dance with anyone. She'll also approach anyone she remotely knows to ask for a dance or two or three. ]

c) the library/gallery

[ If you thought Aradia was going to do anything but make a beeline for those stone etchings of Fossil Pokémon, you thought wrong. She is so beelining for them and will not leave her examinations of them for a while, though she does want to look at everything else in the room... ]

I wonder how old these are...!

d) designated sleeping area

[ And at night you can find her in a red tank top and black pajama pants, chatting amiably to whatever friends decided to crash beside her.

If you wanted to hit her up for non-formal smalltalk, now would be the time!

...Or any other time. She's not so good with "formal". ]

[Of course parties are fun, since when are they not fun? Jimmy catches the tail end of Aradia's conversation and makes his way over with an Eevee in his arms. If he looks a bit breathless it's because he is. Solstice thought it would be fun to make him chase her all over the place, particularly right into the library because why not.]

[ She waves cheerfully before it makes it all the way over, while the Kabutops huffs.

...Indy mimicks her in the background. Indy, please. ]

Oh, Crabsickle is just...not the most social. But he insisted on coming along...

[Oh, there you are, Aradia! Would you be surprised to learn that John's been looking for you? Because he has. He has a list and you happen to be on it. Because he absolutely needs to dance with you at least once before prom is over.]

Mmmm...you know I think I could find a little time on my hands for dancing.

[ She would not be too terribly surprised, although she's not actively trying to hide.

[This surprise commentary comes from a space pirate in all his... liner pilot-y glory? He's actually not wearing the black coat, for once. And his hair is tied back and gelled. Someone's making an effort today.]

Oh, Ash! Wow, you look nice! [ YOU SHOULD WEAR YOUR HAIR LIKE THAT MORE OFTEN, MAN. It's very attractive.

Aradia frowns after her immediate smile, though. ]

Hm, you're probably right. I guess if nothing else I could track down one of the owners and ask them...?

[Though not an archaeologist herself, Botan does know the look of stone and age when she sees it--so when she hears Aradia's question (hypothetical or not) she comes up and tilts her head to examine it.]

Ah...well, the earliest humans worked with stone over two million years ago, but this doesn't appear that old. Burial of the dead and arts, however, began over 200,000 years ago, yet ancient creatures would have been already dead. I suppose it's possible that ancient Pokemon and humans coexisted while dinosaurs as we know them and humans didn't. Curious.

[ Well, she doesn't know much about humans and dinosaurs...it's different on Alternia, okay. ]

It could be someone copying an older style, of course...I don't have the tools I'd need to be sure.

With that said, I am glad we have the opportunity to compare these fossils to what the actual creatures are like in the flesh. That's not exactly an opportunity you're awarded in most worlds.

Maybe he's like Bec! Bec doesn't seem all that interested in interacting with anyone, but he wants to make sure my Pokemon and myself are okay.[She also refuses to not bring her starter along, and Bec wouldn't have any of that even if she tried.]

He might need some time to warm up. Hehe...
