KEY:

• BLUE areas are where the bulk of the party's events will be located! As you can see, the festivities will be taking place largely outdoors, and the grounds will reflect that; there'll be the usual decorations of pretty floral arrangements, little lights, things like that. Think upscale garden party! There'll also be a ballroom indoors for more traditionally fancy red-carpet goings-on, but most of the action (and volume of guests) will be found mingling out back.
• GREEN areas are where guests will be staying overnight! Unfortunately, you'll be sleeping-bagging it up, since there's a limited amount of bedrooms in this house and they're all being occupied by Clair, Lance, the Elite Four, and guests who are regrettably way more important than you. However, this is where you'll be given space to leave your possessions, claim some sleeping room, and generally crash for the night once the festivities do you in. (Note: you're welcome to try to sleep elsewhere, but Clair might catch you and disapprove. You don't want that, do you?)
• RED areas are unfortunately off-limits to guests! If asked about them, anyone will tell you that those are the rooms and areas that the Elite Four (and their special guests) have claimed for themselves, and they're sealed off tight. Please don't try to break into them anyway; you'll only be caught and punished.

• AREA A is the designated Indoor Ballroom area, for the people who prefer the classy elegance of a formal red-carpet gala over the more whimsy outdoor garden party atmosphere in the back. There's a big skylight, hardwood floors, tasteful artwork, and classy music — a little more upscale than the shenanigans going on outside, for the people who'd rather that kind of thing.

• AREA B will be the area of interest for anyone hoping to sneak a little Pokemon research on the side: this is the Library/Gallery area of the house. While most of it is your standard "tall shelves of ancient identical books" fare, there are a few points of interest — we've detailed them further right here. Guests are welcome to look around a little, but burying themselves in research the whole time will be highly frowned upon, and you'll be politely encouraged to leave the library alone and go rejoin the festivities if you hole up in there for too long.

• AREA C is...well, the Parking Lot. More importantly, it's where you take your Pokemon battles if you simply gotta get your battle on; keep it out and away from the house, please, and try not to make too much of a mess. Skirmishes, sorties, and sparring will be tolerated here and here alone. Do it anywhere else and you'll be facing some very displeased hosts.

• AREA D is the Elite Four's Trophy Room. Please be quiet and respectful if you come up here to have a look around; it's a solemn kind of place. Here you'll find various collections of badges, ribbons, awards, and trophies put on display, with one wall devoted to each member of the Elite Four. There are also pictures of the Elite Four members themselves, though it seems there's been a changeover since the last prom; the candids and Official Portraits™ depict different people entirely now (with the exception of Bruno) and there are a few photos of some sort of ceremony among the others. These photos include Lance being declared Champion of both regions by Professor Oak, while the rest of the Elite Four look on; Lorelai hugging Will and Karen immediately after their promotion to Elite Four; Agatha and Koga having an exhibition battle between her Gengar and his Crobat; all six of them piling into the frame for what amounts to a massive group selfie, etc.

[It only makes sense that some of the more high-profile individuals here are used to galas and red-carpet affairs; some are just...moreso than others. Given her other profession as the most well-known movie star in Kalos, Champion Diantha is definitely one of the latter.

She's dressed to the nines this evening, though she's still got her pendant on, the stone in the center glittering softly in the light of the indoor ballroom; she's got some of that punch with her, though she has it in a really classy champagne flute because of course she does, and she's carrying it like she's had quite a lot of practice. She's rather sociable tonight, if a bit reserved until she can work out the general atmosphere of the room; she smiles often, gently, and she has a Gardevoir by her side at all times - in fact, when she isn't socializing directly with anyone, she can be seen off to the side conversing silently with it, looking rather at ease rather than like she's holding up the walls. Simply talking to a friend while waiting for another dance partner, or perhaps someone else to discuss training with. She doesn't mind talking about cinema, either, and as long as you're not...

...look, as long as you're not like a certain accidental creepshow when it comes to discussing her roles, she'll be perfectly fine with you.

Who knows, however - perhaps you'll get asked to dance, if you're looking like you want a partner; she's also not opposed to approaching those who are looking particularly shy about the party in general, if they catch her attention somehow.

She's going to be sticking to the indoor ballroom for the night, however; it'd just be rude to do otherwise, as far as she's concerned.]

[Someone does indeed Diantha while she's making wall holding look damn good. It's not a trainer, however. It's a little Mime Jr who just stares up at the gorgeous movie star. It might seem like she's lost after the first few seconds... But soon enough, the little Pokemon's eyes start to shine and water and oh god she's tearing up.]

[Diantha you made the tiny clown cry how could you.]

[If the Gardevoir tries to connect with her fellow psychic type, she might be able to deduce some garbled explanation that sounds suspiciously like the plot to a movie Diantha just might have been in at some point. However, soon enough, a Luxray joins the group and looks positively frantic at her BBF crying.]

[FRIEND, WHAT'S WRONG FRIEND, DID THE LADY MAKE YOU CRY? SHOULD... SHOULD SHE BITE THE LADY? SHOULD SHE BITE THE PROBLEM AND MAKE IT GO AWAY?? TELL HER WHAT TO DO FRIEND]

[Diantha now has a crying Mime Jr. and a very frazzled Luxray who doesn't know what to do in front of her. This really is a classy party, promise. Where the heck is their trainer...]

Oh...dear, are you all right, I...

[For what it's worth, she's willing to crouch down immediately, nice dress be damned, for the sake of getting more on the Pokémon's eye level; she glances up at Gardevoir soon enough, who admittedly has no idea what's going on but dear god is she trying to figure out what to do with all this ASJHVGDFJHBVKFGHB that she is being presented with.]

[That seems to help a bit, and the Mime Jr. starts to hiccup while floundering for Diantha's hand. Luxray friend just keeps looking from the Mime Jr. to Diantha. At least the movie star isn't the only one highly confused.]

Angel?

[The owner of that thick British accent pushes his way towards the little group, finally, a small little tray of snacks held in his only hand. Add one more to the bewildered party. Without a bit of hesitation, he kneels down and sets the tray to the side so he can pet Mime Jr's head.]

Everythin' alright over here? Angel doesn't usually leave my side, made me a bit worried...

[Oh, she will gladly take your hand, Angel. For solidarity and morale. Or something.

That said, however, she glances up at the person in question when he kneels down nearby; her expression is soft, but likewise a bit worried because this...doesn't sound good, does it.]

Is she your companion, then...? I don't know what happened, it was all rather odd; she came to me in tears, the poor thing...

She's my starter, yeah. That ain't normal, she's usually a chipper lil' thing... Hm?

[Oh, looks like Angel is getting his hand too. Starting to get a hand collection? Except then a little bit of psychic energy seems to fuzz about, Angel still hiccuping. Joker spaces out for just a brief second before shaking his head. Oh, he sees. He gives a sheepish grin to Diantha's way.]

Didn't realize it, but yer that famous movie star, ain't ya? Think I know what's got her all worked up, 'tho it's a bit embarrassin'...

[She tips her head a bit at that, that soft expression of concern not going anywhere anytime soon.]

Pardon the intrusion, but I couldn't help but notice your connection with your Gardevoir. It seems to be admirably strong.

[That is actually a genuine compliment; Kato doesn't know who this woman is, but there's something about her general aura that exudes power and class. It's more than enough to get him to attempt conversation, anyway - and be on his best behaviour. No mentioning explosions and/or bombs.

Unfortunately, I've been having a bit of trouble connecting with him; I think our personalities are simply far too different.

I have been having so much fun! It's my first party, so I wasn't sure what to expect. But I'm having a lot of fun. The garden outside is very pretty. I also love the library here! [She's been reading a lot of the books when she doesn't want to be in the ballroom.]

[Don't worry, she dealt with socially inept all the way over here on the plane. Jade is currently looking like the paragon of tact and social grace, just to give an indication of how that went. So really, this is refreshing, and Diantha is receptive to it, and Jade seems incredibly pleased to be here and that makes it all worthwhile.]

I'm glad to hear it! It's as much your party as it is ours, and it's good to see so many people enjoying themselves. And their Pokémon as well!

I haven't been to the library myself yet, but I've heard it's very well-put-together; I'll have to take a look before we leave. Was there anything in particular you were reading about...?

It's very nice that they were willing to host such a big party for everyone. It must have been a lot of work to get this all together. [Jade is honestly very impressed and she really appreciates it.]

Nothing particular. I've been so interested about this place, that I've just been trying to get my hands on whatever information I can get. I really wanna travel as many of the regions out there as possible and learn and discover whatever I can while I'm here.

[Having noticed the Pokemon Diantha has accompanying her and the way she's communicating with it, Hagakure decides to approach. He thinks he recognizes that Pokemon, though maybe as one of its previous evolutionary stages...

Joining him are his Elgyem who is currently perched on his shoulder, his Chimecho floating along beside him, and his Miltank bringing up the rear, peeking out from behind him and curiously watching Diantha and her Gardevoir.]

Uh, hi! [He waves awkwardly. This woman looks really important for some reason, and considering what happened with Clair earlier in the evening, he wants to be as careful as possible when dealing with important people.] Is that Pokemon a Psychic-type?

[Oh...goodness, yes, hello there. Her gaze flicks to the Pokémon before resettling on the man with them, though she doesn't seem displeased to see them; quite to the contrary, there's definite approval in her gaze when she turns her attention to Hagakure, though her smile is a calm one. Gentle, and easily reaching her eyes.]

It is, yes. This is Gardevoir; she's been my partner for many years now.

Are you fond of the type?

[...Wow, she's even more elegant up close and actually talking. There's something calming about her too, and that's pretty after how hectic the night has been already.

When he has his answer, he beams at both the woman and her Gardevoir.]

Cool! I thought she might be 'cause I think I've seen a Pokemon that looks like her but smaller, and that one was Psychic type too.

[In response to her question, he nods and smiles at the Elgyem on his shoulder.]

Definitely. It's the type I specialize in. This guy's my starter, Grey. [On cue, the Elgyem offers a small wave.] I guess you could say I have a strong connection with the type. Are you the same way?

[He's almost hoping she's a Psychic trainer too, because he's heard there are a couple of them around but he hasn't gotten a chance to meet them yet.]
