KEY:

• BLUE areas are where the bulk of the party's events will be located! As you can see, the festivities will be taking place largely outdoors, and the grounds will reflect that; there'll be the usual decorations of pretty floral arrangements, little lights, things like that. Think upscale garden party! There'll also be a ballroom indoors for more traditionally fancy red-carpet goings-on, but most of the action (and volume of guests) will be found mingling out back.
• GREEN areas are where guests will be staying overnight! Unfortunately, you'll be sleeping-bagging it up, since there's a limited amount of bedrooms in this house and they're all being occupied by Clair, Lance, the Elite Four, and guests who are regrettably way more important than you. However, this is where you'll be given space to leave your possessions, claim some sleeping room, and generally crash for the night once the festivities do you in. (Note: you're welcome to try to sleep elsewhere, but Clair might catch you and disapprove. You don't want that, do you?)
• RED areas are unfortunately off-limits to guests! If asked about them, anyone will tell you that those are the rooms and areas that the Elite Four (and their special guests) have claimed for themselves, and they're sealed off tight. Please don't try to break into them anyway; you'll only be caught and punished.

• AREA A is the designated Indoor Ballroom area, for the people who prefer the classy elegance of a formal red-carpet gala over the more whimsy outdoor garden party atmosphere in the back. There's a big skylight, hardwood floors, tasteful artwork, and classy music — a little more upscale than the shenanigans going on outside, for the people who'd rather that kind of thing.

• AREA B will be the area of interest for anyone hoping to sneak a little Pokemon research on the side: this is the Library/Gallery area of the house. While most of it is your standard "tall shelves of ancient identical books" fare, there are a few points of interest — we've detailed them further right here. Guests are welcome to look around a little, but burying themselves in research the whole time will be highly frowned upon, and you'll be politely encouraged to leave the library alone and go rejoin the festivities if you hole up in there for too long.

• AREA C is...well, the Parking Lot. More importantly, it's where you take your Pokemon battles if you simply gotta get your battle on; keep it out and away from the house, please, and try not to make too much of a mess. Skirmishes, sorties, and sparring will be tolerated here and here alone. Do it anywhere else and you'll be facing some very displeased hosts.

• AREA D is the Elite Four's Trophy Room. Please be quiet and respectful if you come up here to have a look around; it's a solemn kind of place. Here you'll find various collections of badges, ribbons, awards, and trophies put on display, with one wall devoted to each member of the Elite Four. There are also pictures of the Elite Four members themselves, though it seems there's been a changeover since the last prom; the candids and Official Portraits™ depict different people entirely now (with the exception of Bruno) and there are a few photos of some sort of ceremony among the others. These photos include Lance being declared Champion of both regions by Professor Oak, while the rest of the Elite Four look on; Lorelai hugging Will and Karen immediately after their promotion to Elite Four; Agatha and Koga having an exhibition battle between her Gengar and his Crobat; all six of them piling into the frame for what amounts to a massive group selfie, etc.

[Good evening, Johto!

While it was admittedly his first desire to want to explore just about everything as soon as he arrived at the place - this truly is exciting, after all, it's not every day you get this sort of opportunity - it seems that Professor Sycamore has been sufficiently reined for the evening. However, hopeless extrovert that he is, he's more or less thriving at this party. It's been quite some time since he's seen some of the others present here this weekend, after all, and from the look of it there are many trainers here who are on journeys of their own; he's always had a good sense of those with potential, and here? Well, there are a lot of them.

How splendid!

Like several of the others, he'll be dividing most of his evening between the garden party and the indoor ballroom; however, that doesn't mean that he can't also be found slipping off in the general direction of Tohjo Falls after a while to try to catch a glimpse of these...Bloobers that he was told so much about. Wherever he happens to be spotted, however, he's going to be really damn hard to miss, as it seems he was not permitted to dress himself - a small favor to everyone, really, though he's still wearing those really hideous loafers. Because those loafers are sacrosanct. (Also comfortable. While he has other shoes, they are not the sort of comfortable that one can dance well in.)

Either way, he is very much a people person and will greet anyone who happens to approach him rather enthusiastically; he's got a heavy accent, enough to make it obvious that he's not quite from around here, but he's more than easily understandable because thank you, universal translator.]

[Hi there, Professor Sycamore! Hi! There sure is a Furret suddenly curling around your feet, nothing but fluff, before standing up on his back legs to sniff at whatever food or drink the Kalos man has gotten. Joker is there in a heartbeat, tsking fondly and trying to push the brat down.]

Sorry 'bout him. Rogue's a spoiled thing, an' thinks he's everyone's best friend so a course everythin' should be shared with him.

Ah, he does seem to think himself a charmer, doesn't he! And so curious as well - manners aside, it's good to see Pokémon with a strong enough attachment to people that there's no apprehension in approaching...it's far easier to train manners into them than to train fear out, and far preferable to not have to worry about the latter at all, hm?

So no harm done, I think - and you would be...?

[And huff, fine you precious little ball of fur, Joker will snag you a treat from nearby. As Rogue the Furret curls up against him with his victory prize, Joker glances up at the question and grins.]

[Jimmy had heard talk of the different higher-ups in the Pokemon world that were going to be here, and Professor Sycamore was one of those he'd heard about. Of course he never expected to get this much of an audience with any of them, but nevertheless that won't stop him from being friendly to anyone he happens across.

Case in point-]

Hi there! This is a great party so far, don'tcha think?

[Peeking out from behind Jimmy is his Furret, Cherry, watching Sycamore curiously. On his other side is Leader, his Electrike, who is sitting patiently in the grass. With that bow Leader's wearing he'd look almost regal, if it weren't an eye searing shade of yellow, at least.]

Ah - so it is, so it is! A pleasure to have been invited, and in such good company besides.

[Oho, what are those - ]

Your Pokémon, I'm assuming - and dressed for the occasion as well, that's charming!

[He gestures to them both in turn with the Pokemon giving little dips of their heads to acknowledge the pokemon professor.]

[ Okay, so Naegi's curious about the special guests present at prom. He's feeling a little hesitant to actually talk to them since they're all incredibly important people and he doesn't want to be a nuisance, but eventually he has a "WHATEVER IF I CAN FTE A SERIAL KILLER THEN I CAN CHAT WITH THESE GUYS" moment -- so when he catches sight of Sycamore heading in the direction of Tohjo falls he decides to approach. This guy looks friendly so hopefully it will go over well. ]

[Oh, well, hello there!

Sycamore will admittedly look kind of sheepish as the sound of that voice; after all, it is such a nice party and all, it's something of a shame to duck out, but...

He rakes a hand through the back of his hair, grinning as he does so.]

Oh - hello there! I just thought I would take a look at the falls for a moment; I understand there are some creatures there that might be interesting. Things that no one has seen before here, apparently...?

Um, mind if I go with you? But if you'd rather go there by yourself, I understand.

[ He's just a stranger looking for an FTE or two, he doesn't want to bother the important guests too much. ]

[One of the disadvantages of not being a grownup is that you tend to get bumped around a little bit in crowds, and even though Shaun is pushing 5' by now he still gets hopelessly turned around and caught up in the action sometimes and ends up bumping into people. Case in point, he was jamming out with his Floatzel (who he's dressed to match with his orange waistcoat and blue bow tie) and Raichu (with a matching blue bow tie) when he bumps up against someone, turning around to realize that oh.

That someone was someone important.

Hello Professor, have a wide-eyed kid who has abruptly stopped dancing staring up at you.]

I-I'm sorry, sir, I didn't see you.

[Well, if you must crash into someone, at least you managed to find one of the good-natured ones! Imagine if it had been Clair...

As it stands, however, that gets a bit of a laugh out of him as he steps back, giving the kid some space; he's not mad, but there's no need to be all up in this kid's business.]

Don't let it trouble you too much, my boy, it happens! Especially in crowded places like this...

[His gaze flicks over to the Pokémon, but hey, man, if you want to party with them, apparently he is not going to judge too hard.]

[If it'd been Clair he would be out on his ear, even adorably dressed as he is. Shaun can't help but smile when the man laughs, relieved that he's not mad.

He's partying with his pokemon because clearly his Floatzel is his prom date.]

Hey, Professor!! [ Shauna has the same accent, with a sing-song tone to it, and will just...come over to him when she spots him in the ballroom. Perhaps people would care to eavesdrop on them, though she's not going to notice if so. ] Have you seen the Bloober things yet? Oooh, did you try the cakes? They're really, super good!

[ Man she's nailing this serious guest star thing right? ...But no, Shauna has pretty much been dancing and trying out the fancy snacks, but the sight of snazzily-dressed Professor Sycamore reminded her she was technically along to, uh, look at the Bloobers and sort of be an extra hand on deck.

Even if mostly she was along because hey new region and giant party, sign her up. ]

Ah, Shauna! Unfortunately, I haven't yet, though I have every intention of doing so; it just seems a bit of a shame to leave the party when Miss Clair went to all this effort.

Everyone here seems really nice so far, too. At least, they have been to me! And I've danced a lot. How about you? Have you danced?

[Did someone say, hideous loafers? Of course, Jade isn't exactly the most fashion savvy person in the place, so she sees nothing wrong with them. If anything-]

I like your shoes! They look very comfortable to wear. [Jade is wearing flats, because she didn't like high heels at all. She rather be wearing sneakers, but no one would let her get away with going to a party dressed in a pretty dress, but with sneakers.] I don't know how people can dance in such uncomfortable looking shoes. I think my feet would fall off if I did that!

I wouldn't be able to do that! I don't know how to dance, and I've only ever wore sneakers and flats. I'd be a disaster if someone wanted me to dance in heels! Maybe when I've had lessons, I can do it.

[Rose is not a stranger to people who aren't allowed to dress themselves. Heck, her own dear partner never dresses himself. Either it's a uniform or it's something one of his friends got him, and in the case of his suit it's something Sion shopped for for him - he never goes clothes shopping for himself. She's not sure he knows how. But then, it's not like she knows how either. Clothes are weird.

But what she does know is that those red clothes? Stand out. A lot.

So this Clefairy with a rose hair clip is just going to run over and try and get a better look at his clothes, because maybe if she can find something cool that people wear to fancy things she can find a way to get a set for her dear partner and then he'll be happy because he has something more to choose from than just a boring suit. That makes so much sense.]

At the very least it's not uncommon for Pokémon to just kind of...wander around and right up to people if they want things, and Sycamore's had an interest in the Kanto-based Pokémon for some time - so! He will just be turning as soon as he notices her and crouching down a bit to get more on her level. As you do.]

[Gosh, Professor Sycamore, those really are some sacrosanct loafers there. Also comfortable. And they look like they would be excellent for dancing in.

Also about a size ten or thereabouts, if Parker's not mistaken, and she usually isn't.

But see, here's the thing. You, sir, are a person that our Lovely Hostess™ would never dream of kicking out, even if you happened to abruptly become in violation of the dress code.

And out in the parking lot, it happens there is a guy who has been unfairly banished because he is not in compliance with the dress code.

Clearly, equity must come into play here.

To be fair, Parker has never actually tried stealing someone's shoes off their feet while they're wearing them before. But she can't imagine it's really that difficult. Especially with slip-ons.
