KEY:

• BLUE areas are where the bulk of the party's events will be located! As you can see, the festivities will be taking place largely outdoors, and the grounds will reflect that; there'll be the usual decorations of pretty floral arrangements, little lights, things like that. Think upscale garden party! There'll also be a ballroom indoors for more traditionally fancy red-carpet goings-on, but most of the action (and volume of guests) will be found mingling out back.
• GREEN areas are where guests will be staying overnight! Unfortunately, you'll be sleeping-bagging it up, since there's a limited amount of bedrooms in this house and they're all being occupied by Clair, Lance, the Elite Four, and guests who are regrettably way more important than you. However, this is where you'll be given space to leave your possessions, claim some sleeping room, and generally crash for the night once the festivities do you in. (Note: you're welcome to try to sleep elsewhere, but Clair might catch you and disapprove. You don't want that, do you?)
• RED areas are unfortunately off-limits to guests! If asked about them, anyone will tell you that those are the rooms and areas that the Elite Four (and their special guests) have claimed for themselves, and they're sealed off tight. Please don't try to break into them anyway; you'll only be caught and punished.

• AREA A is the designated Indoor Ballroom area, for the people who prefer the classy elegance of a formal red-carpet gala over the more whimsy outdoor garden party atmosphere in the back. There's a big skylight, hardwood floors, tasteful artwork, and classy music — a little more upscale than the shenanigans going on outside, for the people who'd rather that kind of thing.

• AREA B will be the area of interest for anyone hoping to sneak a little Pokemon research on the side: this is the Library/Gallery area of the house. While most of it is your standard "tall shelves of ancient identical books" fare, there are a few points of interest — we've detailed them further right here. Guests are welcome to look around a little, but burying themselves in research the whole time will be highly frowned upon, and you'll be politely encouraged to leave the library alone and go rejoin the festivities if you hole up in there for too long.

• AREA C is...well, the Parking Lot. More importantly, it's where you take your Pokemon battles if you simply gotta get your battle on; keep it out and away from the house, please, and try not to make too much of a mess. Skirmishes, sorties, and sparring will be tolerated here and here alone. Do it anywhere else and you'll be facing some very displeased hosts.

• AREA D is the Elite Four's Trophy Room. Please be quiet and respectful if you come up here to have a look around; it's a solemn kind of place. Here you'll find various collections of badges, ribbons, awards, and trophies put on display, with one wall devoted to each member of the Elite Four. There are also pictures of the Elite Four members themselves, though it seems there's been a changeover since the last prom; the candids and Official Portraits™ depict different people entirely now (with the exception of Bruno) and there are a few photos of some sort of ceremony among the others. These photos include Lance being declared Champion of both regions by Professor Oak, while the rest of the Elite Four look on; Lorelai hugging Will and Karen immediately after their promotion to Elite Four; Agatha and Koga having an exhibition battle between her Gengar and his Crobat; all six of them piling into the frame for what amounts to a massive group selfie, etc.

[Wandering back and forth from the ballroom and the garden area is an interesting sight. This guy in tuxedo. And yes, he's wearing that mask, and yes, his hair really does look like that. The reason for that is that he's Crasher Wake, Pastoria City's Gym Leader, wrestler, singer, and who knows what else since apparently he does a lot of things over in Sinnoh which anyone who approaches him will probably learn about at some point. Possibly via song.

But anyway, today, he's mostly here as Crasher Wake, celebrity from the Sinnoh region, and while he's never met any of the trainers running around here, he's pretty excited to meet everybody. Getting to meet a bunch of new faces is usually one of his favorite things about gatherings like these. That and the fact that they're fun, and Wake's a major proponent of things being fun.

That being said, he's completely willing to talk to anyone and everyone who talks to him. Or dance with them if so asked. After all, these things are supposed to be fun, so Wake's more than willing to help other people have fun here. He might go check out the Bloobers over at the Falls later, but for now, he's happy to just mingle and socialize with people.]

[Someone is actually outdoing him in appearance. Well then. Joker doesn't seem weirded out in the slightest and just approaches with a grin when Crasher Wake is outside.]

Ya sure know how ta make an appearance! I'm Joker, Ringleader of the Eve's Garden Circus. What's yer name?

[Because he has to know, he really does.]

[A circus ringmaster? Wake thinks that's pretty cool, especially since he didn't know there was a circus here in Johto.]

What's that? What's my name?

[Well, he could just tell him, but where's the fun in that? Instead, Joker gets to be the first person subjected to Crasher Wake's theme song. Yes, he has a theme song. Doesn't every Gym Leader?]

The ring is my roiling sea. ♪ The towering waves shaped me. Crash! Crash! Crasher Wake! Crash! Crash! Crasher Wake!

[There's a few more lines, but he won't do the whole thing.]

That's my name! Crasher Wake!

[The loud laugh he gives at the end hints he's joking.]

That was great! Never heard anyone else give a song as an introduction, I like it!

[Wake laughs too. It's not that he'd mind working at a circus, it's just that...]

I'd be willing to let you, but I'm afraid I'm booked solid for the next few months! Between Gym challenges, charity events, and my upcoming matches against the Masked Mudkip, I simply don't have the time.

[He looks sad for a moment, but then he's right back to being upbeat.]

And I'm glad you like the song! I do too! Which is a good thing since I wrote it myself!

You're right about that! I don't like to brag, but I'm pretty sure I'm the only wrestling singing Gym Leader out there!

[Well, if there's not going to be any regrets, then in between bites of food, Wake will start talking.]

So I guess I should start with my last match against the Masked Mudkip. Oh, it was a great one. An instant classic, in fact! 40 minutes of action in front of a sold out crowd in Veilstone City! Him and his partner tried everything! Cheating, chairs, escape ropes, but me and my Floatzel, we were able to counter all of it! Almost had him down for the count too, but...time ran out!

[Wake laughs at this.]

A little anticlimatic, I know, but that's what happened! I'll get him next time though!

[Unlike maybe some other people, Joker listens completely attentively and genuinely interested. This is the highlight of his night, honestly, and it will have to be wrestled from his cold dead fingers.]

Ya could say that, or ya could say it's a cliffhanger! I know I'dve been on the edge a my seat. Guess I'll just have ta make sure not ta miss this next one! [And he won't so help him] It really sounds like yer Floatzel and yerself have a great teamwork goin' on there!

That's right, we sure do! In the ring or at the Pastoria Gym, nobody can beat us when we work together.

[On second thought...]

Well, almost nobody anyway! There's some great Trainers out there. Pretty sure there's some great ones here too, right?

I'm certain of it! In fact, I'd definitely say a girl named Maka would certainly make a fight ta see. I'm her Uncle~.

An uncle? I never would've guessed!

[He's never met Maka obviously, and doesn't know any better, so he's just going to think it's true.]

If you're niece is that great of a trainer, you must be very proud!

[Hey, he's apparently a spitting image of her father, so it sort of counts, right?]

[Regardless of the fact that he will probably be found dead in a ditch with his neck snapped when Maka finds out what he's telling people, Joker does seem pretty proud of her accomplishments.

Heh, we're from a pretty big family~. [Which technically isn't the lie. Sorry, Maka, you've been dragged into the circus family fold the second Snake started to like you.] She's definitely somethin' alright! Maybe one day the two a ya will get ta battle. That's a match I definitely wouldn't miss.

[Wake believes every word, Joker. Every single word. In fact, he's probably going to tell people about the giant circus family he heard about while he was here!]

I'm looking forward to it. I'm sure it'd be a great battle! And I'm sure your niece would enjoy having her uncle around to cheer her on! In fact, if it ever happens, bring the whole family!

[HEY TECHNICALLY HIS FAMILY IS HUGE most of it is just not. here. Even if you are basically family once you are absorbed into the circus. Ssh.]

[Score another one for 'people Shaun has accidentally bumped into while jamming out with his Floatzel'. The 12-year-old is dancing his little heart out with his "date", until he accidentally bumps into someone behind him.

A very...massive someone.

Shaun's eyes are the size of dinner plates as he stares up at the gym leader, throat frozen around the apology that he can't spit out. Susie's at his side in a heartbeat, sliding her paw into his hand for support.

You're a little scary, sir.

Please don't be mad.]

[Be mad? Why would he be mad? In fact, he's so not mad, that he's just smiling and laughing about being bumped into.]

Hey, there kiddo! And hey there to you too!

[Wake waves at Susie. That's the first Floatzel he's seen since he got here, and he thinks it's a pretty cool Pokemon. In fact, he's even got one of his own on his Gym team.]

[The smile and laugh seems friendly enough, but Shaun's going to keep holding on to Susie's paw. It's nothing personal, he's just had some particularly dark firsthand experience with stranger danger.]

I-I'm Shaun. And this is Susie.

[Floatzels are pretty awesome, it's true. This one in particular was Shaun's starter, in fact, so he might be a little biased.]

[Nothing to worry about here. Wake's loud and a little strange, but he's a good guy. Really.]

Which is all the way over in Sinnoh! And I know what you're thinking, kid. Are all the Gym Leaders over there like this?
