KEY:

• BLUE areas are where the bulk of the party's events will be located! As you can see, the festivities will be taking place largely outdoors, and the grounds will reflect that; there'll be the usual decorations of pretty floral arrangements, little lights, things like that. Think upscale garden party! There'll also be a ballroom indoors for more traditionally fancy red-carpet goings-on, but most of the action (and volume of guests) will be found mingling out back.
• GREEN areas are where guests will be staying overnight! Unfortunately, you'll be sleeping-bagging it up, since there's a limited amount of bedrooms in this house and they're all being occupied by Clair, Lance, the Elite Four, and guests who are regrettably way more important than you. However, this is where you'll be given space to leave your possessions, claim some sleeping room, and generally crash for the night once the festivities do you in. (Note: you're welcome to try to sleep elsewhere, but Clair might catch you and disapprove. You don't want that, do you?)
• RED areas are unfortunately off-limits to guests! If asked about them, anyone will tell you that those are the rooms and areas that the Elite Four (and their special guests) have claimed for themselves, and they're sealed off tight. Please don't try to break into them anyway; you'll only be caught and punished.

• AREA A is the designated Indoor Ballroom area, for the people who prefer the classy elegance of a formal red-carpet gala over the more whimsy outdoor garden party atmosphere in the back. There's a big skylight, hardwood floors, tasteful artwork, and classy music — a little more upscale than the shenanigans going on outside, for the people who'd rather that kind of thing.

• AREA B will be the area of interest for anyone hoping to sneak a little Pokemon research on the side: this is the Library/Gallery area of the house. While most of it is your standard "tall shelves of ancient identical books" fare, there are a few points of interest — we've detailed them further right here. Guests are welcome to look around a little, but burying themselves in research the whole time will be highly frowned upon, and you'll be politely encouraged to leave the library alone and go rejoin the festivities if you hole up in there for too long.

• AREA C is...well, the Parking Lot. More importantly, it's where you take your Pokemon battles if you simply gotta get your battle on; keep it out and away from the house, please, and try not to make too much of a mess. Skirmishes, sorties, and sparring will be tolerated here and here alone. Do it anywhere else and you'll be facing some very displeased hosts.

• AREA D is the Elite Four's Trophy Room. Please be quiet and respectful if you come up here to have a look around; it's a solemn kind of place. Here you'll find various collections of badges, ribbons, awards, and trophies put on display, with one wall devoted to each member of the Elite Four. There are also pictures of the Elite Four members themselves, though it seems there's been a changeover since the last prom; the candids and Official Portraits™ depict different people entirely now (with the exception of Bruno) and there are a few photos of some sort of ceremony among the others. These photos include Lance being declared Champion of both regions by Professor Oak, while the rest of the Elite Four look on; Lorelai hugging Will and Karen immediately after their promotion to Elite Four; Agatha and Koga having an exhibition battle between her Gengar and his Crobat; all six of them piling into the frame for what amounts to a massive group selfie, etc.

SPOINK HORDE IN THE BALLROOM: OTA

[AAAAND WHY IS THERE SUDDENLY A HUGE BUNCH OF SPOINK BARRELING INTO THE HOUSE OF THE ELITE FOUR?!

Around 80% of them don't have pearls, and the ones who do are constantly having it stolen by others. They start running around frantically, dispersing and grabbing whatever round object they can get their hands on to put on their heads. This is... not good.

There's an Ampharos some might recall to be belonging to Saionji- a Mareep who used to belong to Hope Estheim. Stepping up, she calls out to try to contain the horde, but they're going haywire, everywhere, on the guests.

Welp, only one thing to do!

She lets an Electro Ball literally race up and break the chandelier, but of course, she made sure beforehand that no one was under it and could've gotten hurt. That... gets their attention. Of all the Spoink and possibly every living thing in the calamity that was right now.

If any of the Pokémon are listening, they might hear the Ampharos say this:]

Amph! Ampha, ros ros, ampharos! [We are looking for my trainer, Saionji Hiyoko. She's been missing for a good amount of time, and possesses something very precious to these Pokémon. Well... multiple things- but we need to find her. Do any of you know where she is?]

[Okay so that's not what he expected to find after following the Spoink horde back to the party. He looks down at the fretfully bouncing Spoink at his side and then pulls out Calvin's pokeball from his jacket pocket. The Raichu comes out in a red beam of light and looks up at his trainer.]

Go talk to the Ampharos and see what's going on, Cal.

[Calvin nods and toddles over to his fellow electric-type, after getting The Story So Far from Bella.]

Rai! Rai rai rai Raichu? [Excuse me! Where did you last see your trainer?]

[Ah, who is this? A Raichu, talking to her...]

Ampha! Ros ampha. [Regrettably, it was quite some time ago in the tall grass. She gave orders to knock out the population of Spoink... I defied her and began attack my teammates instead. She didn't like doing that. But...

However, she returned me and throw my Pokéball far away in turn. I broke out, though. When I returned, a large horde of Spoink had lost their pearls... but I doubt she could've carried all of it. Pause. I stormed in here in search of her, but... she doesn't seem to be anywhere.]

[Calvin's eyes widen and his cheeks spark in indignation.]

Rai rai rai! Chu rai, chu chu rai! Rai chu rai Raichu! [You did the right thing! We'll help you find your trainer and we won't let her do that again. Trainer Shaun will take care of it! Maybe Calvin wasn't the best ambassador.

Shaun gasps when the information is relayed to him by Bella, and the frown that appears is downright protagonistic in its determination.]

[Fucking protagonists, man.

It's good that someone agrees with her, though. Not that she thought anyone with a lick of sense + wasn't an asshole wouldn't, but still.] Pharos ampharos. [Thank you very much. I... believe that leading the Spoink here in search of their pearls was a mistake, though.

No shit Sherlock, they're about to resume wrecking stuff.] Amph! [If it's not too much to ask, could you help me herd them outside into the Parking Lot so they can await their pearls for when we find them?]

[He's not even a protagonist but his dad was. Calvin and Shaun look around to the Spoink horde. Shaun pulls out Stella's pokeball, calling out the Misdreavus to help with the herding efforts.]

Come on, guys! Let's get you out of here and someplace you'll have more room. That's it, this way! Follow me!

[Shaun and the little Spoink that has taken a liking to him head out to the parking lot, Stella spooking any stragglers back into the herd like a sheepdog.]

[CLOSE ENOUGH

They're kinda still intent on stealing stuff, but Stella does a pretty good job of scaring them into submission. It's still a huge mess, though, and they're moving pretty slowly. NPCs important people are most definitely taking notice at this point, and Saionji is probably completely fucked over.

Considering she's not dead, or missing forever. Which she really might be.]

[Well she'll probably be either dead or missing forever once Clair gets a hold of her after this.

Once all the Spoink are outside, Shaun does a quick scan over the bouncing crowd to make sure it's about as big as it should be.]

Alright, Stella, keep the Spoink out here and keep them under control!

[The little ghost nods severely and resumes her patrol. Shaun looks at "his" Spoink.]

You can come with me but you have to behave, okay? [Then, to Calvin and the Ampharos:] Come on, let's go find Saionji.

The Spoink are uncomfortable, but understand that they need to wait... for now, at least. Her Ampharos hops along.] Pharos... [If she's not here... that means she's most likely met another obstacle in her way. I doubt she would delay in getting to safety.

If you actually give a fuck about Saionji, that sounds bad. And if you care about the Spoink, that sounds bad too. Still, off to the forest they go- sooner or later, they might find traces of weird, purple-poison gunk where the Spoink came from.]

[Shaun is unfortunately in both camps. He's also not that good on the searching side of a missing persons search, but he's determined to do what he can to find his friend. ...Preferably before the grownups do. Maybe if he can convince her to give the Spoink back their pearls, she won't get in too much trouble.]

...What's this?

[He's not stupid, he has a poison-type, he's not going to touch it.]

[Swalot poison, you will find out if you traverse a bit further. There's whole swarm of them, but they're just passing passively, instead of hording like a stampede...

...Did you know Swalot slime is sticky? Because that's a lot of pink pearls stuck on them.]

[...Oh. Well, that's a thing.]

Hey! Wait a minute! Hold on, you've got something that belongs to the Spoink.

[He'll try to stop the Swalot himself before he sends his pokemon to do it.]

[Hmmmm?

The Swalot are a friendly, slow-moving lot. They stop at the sudden boy's voice, looking at Shaun.]

Swaaaaalot? [Belonging to the Spoink...?]

[pianosongs]

[Masato, thoroughly confused, finds himself watching in stunned silence at the growing, gathering horde. They all seem so hopelessly lost--and there goes his cup of punch. With a sigh, he steps forward in the hopes of trying to usher them elsewhere--like outside--

and there goes the chandelier. This has been christened as a 'real party' now. Sighing, Masato walks over to the Ampharos, a deep frown on his face.]

Given that you seem calm... I imagine you're looking for your trainer?

[You really should be confused. Hell, the Ampharos is kinda confused, too, and she led a whole horde of Spoink on an ill-fated crusade.]

Ampharos! [Yes, we are. She has somethings that are of high importance to these Spoink. And while I don't mean to prognosticate, if they don't get them back... Yeah, it doesn't sound too swell.]

Pharos, ros ros. [Have you seen a blonde girl in a pink kimono anywhere? She's around my height.]

[pianosongs]

[None of his pokemon are big on verbal communication, so Masato's used to just... winging it when talking to them, really. But this situation here seems to be a frantic one, especially given the Ampharos's tone. Not that Masato can blame them: the Spoink are rather... Well.]

Hmm... Sadly, I can't understand you. Perhaps there's another way... Do you know if she's spoken on the devices recently? Perhaps you could seek out her picture.

[...Hmmm... yes, she will, actually! If you hand her your Pokégear, which she doesn't have much trouble using apart from the whole 'no fingers' issue, she pulls up a broadcast of her screaming about a missing Lilligant.]

[Wow, this is the most resourceful Ampharos he's come across. If not one of the first, but never mind that part. He takes a moment to examine the girl's face, then nods.]

Alright. I'll try to seek her out. Do you know if she has her Gear on her?

[When your trainer is Saionji fucking Hiyoko, you tend to become pretty resourceful.

Never know when they might need to make an SOS on the network.]

Ampharos. [Thank you. She should, but I do not think she will answer. Realizing the human doesn't exactly understand her a few seconds later, she just nods a bit, signalling for him to try, at least.]

[Masato waits for the small nod and just takes that as the sign to go for it. Even if she doesn't answer immediately, maybe he can leave her a message.

...he really hopes she answers.]

Nothing concerning the esteemed Saionji Hiyoko can be solved so easily!

At least it seems her gear isn't broken.]

Ah... Miss, I do apologize for the disturbance, but it seems I've found your Ampharos here seeking you out.

...along with a bunch of... Spoinkies? I believe? [Is that what they're called?]

...Anyway, please return this message as soon as you can to reunite with your pokémon.
