KEY:
• BLUE areas are where the bulk of the party's events will be located! As you can see, the festivities will be taking place largely outdoors, and the grounds will reflect that; there'll be the usual decorations of pretty floral arrangements, little lights, things like that. Think upscale garden party! There'll also be a ballroom indoors for more traditionally fancy red-carpet goings-on, but most of the action (and volume of guests) will be found mingling out back.
• GREEN areas are where guests will be staying overnight! Unfortunately, you'll be sleeping-bagging it up, since there's a limited amount of bedrooms in this house and they're all being occupied by Clair, Lance, the Elite Four, and guests who are regrettably way more important than you. However, this is where you'll be given space to leave your possessions, claim some sleeping room, and generally crash for the night once the festivities do you in. (Note: you're welcome to try to sleep elsewhere, but Clair might catch you and disapprove. You don't want that, do you?)
• RED areas are unfortunately off-limits to guests! If asked about them, anyone will tell you that those are the rooms and areas that the Elite Four (and their special guests) have claimed for themselves, and they're sealed off tight. Please don't try to break into them anyway; you'll only be caught and punished.
• AREA A is the designated Indoor Ballroom area, for the people who prefer the classy elegance of a formal red-carpet gala over the more whimsy outdoor garden party atmosphere in the back. There's a big skylight, hardwood floors, tasteful artwork, and classy music — a little more upscale than the shenanigans going on outside, for the people who'd rather that kind of thing.
• AREA B will be the area of interest for anyone hoping to sneak a little Pokemon research on the side: this is the Library/Gallery area of the house. While most of it is your standard "tall shelves of ancient identical books" fare, there are a few points of interest — we've detailed them further right here. Guests are welcome to look around a little, but burying themselves in research the whole time will be highly frowned upon, and you'll be politely encouraged to leave the library alone and go rejoin the festivities if you hole up in there for too long.
• AREA C is...well, the Parking Lot. More importantly, it's where you take your Pokemon battles if you simply gotta get your battle on; keep it out and away from the house, please, and try not to make too much of a mess. Skirmishes, sorties, and sparring will be tolerated here and here alone. Do it anywhere else and you'll be facing some very displeased hosts.
• AREA D is the Elite Four's Trophy Room. Please be quiet and respectful if you come up here to have a look around; it's a solemn kind of place. Here you'll find various collections of badges, ribbons, awards, and trophies put on display, with one wall devoted to each member of the Elite Four. There are also pictures of the Elite Four members themselves, though it seems there's been a changeover since the last prom; the candids and Official Portraits™ depict different people entirely now (with the exception of Bruno) and there are a few photos of some sort of ceremony among the others. These photos include Lance being declared Champion of both regions by Professor Oak, while the rest of the Elite Four look on; Lorelai hugging Will and Karen immediately after their promotion to Elite Four; Agatha and Koga having an exhibition battle between her Gengar and his Crobat; all six of them piling into the frame for what amounts to a massive group selfie, etc.

Whoa!
[He damn near gets kicked in the face. Fortunately, his reflexes are good enough that he manages to step out of the way just in time. Judging by the grin on his face, he's more amused by the near-attack than anything else, and even laughs a little as he says:]
Hey, Tenten. You trying to bust a move or bust somebody's ass?
no subject
She draws her foot back when he steps out of the way, giggling a little as she falls back into (what she thinks) fits the music.]
Dancing! You know, just moving to the music!
no subject
[Yusuke doesn't sound derisive or mocking when he says this. He just sounds like he's trying to give her a little shit. Y'know, as you do.]
no subject
I'd like to see you do better!
no subject
Yeeeeah, no thanks. I don't dance.
no subject
[Hello Yusuke, she just lunged in and she's going to try to grab his hand.]
Wanna learn?
no subject
[Hello, Tenten! Yusuke didn't expect her to reach out and grab him like that, so he's pretty easily grabbed. He's quick to wrench his hand back, though, looking a little flustered despite himself.]
Look, I didn't say I didn't know how to dance! I just said I don't!
[Sheesh. B(]
no subject
Really? Can you prove it?
[Is she challenging him to dance maybe she is.]
no subject
... yeah. He's dug himself a bit of a hole here, hasn't he. He's still got his pride, though, so the fact that he'll almost certainly try to find a way out of dancing in front of everybody doesn't necessarily mean that he's going to admit that he can't dance, particularly now that Tenten has more or less issued a challenge. THEREFORE, once he duly gives Tenten a look not unlike a deer caught in headlights, he quickly slaps on a scowl and tells her, in a voice that is just a bit unnecessarily loud:]
Y-- ... yeah! Of course I can!
It's just that, uh--
[Yusuke falters as he tries to conjure up a good excuse. C'mon, Urameshi, think!]
--the music in this place sucks.
[He kinda just blurts that out because it's the first thing that comes to mind... but when he suddenly realizes that, actually, that's true, he suddenly seems more confident, nodding and straightening his shoulders a little as he says:]
Yeah. I dunno how to dance to this music. It's a lot different than what I'm used to at home, so...
[... WELL, HE ISN'T LYING... at least, not about the music being different, anyway. This does not sound like early '90's music.]
no subject
She just hums and pouts at him, keeping her grip on his hand. He's going to have to shake her off completely to get her to let go, because,]
Well, why don't you show me how you'd dance to your music, then? I mean, you can play it in your head, can't you? I think I can follow along pretty well if it's just the moves.
[Teach her your 90's ways, Yusuke.]
no subject
This leaves him with two options: keep trying to bluff his way out of it, and hope Tenten'll be convinced enough to drop it... or just suck it up and dance. Unfortunately for him, he can't seem to come up with anymore excuses. His reservoir of bullshit has dried up, which means that the only thing he can do now is...
... dammit. He is not drunk enough for this.]
Yeah. Sure. Why not.
[Yusuke doesn't even try to cover up the way he winces as he says this. WELP. Guess he's dancing, then. He likes to think of himself as not being given towards self-consciousness (and for the most part, he isn't), but he can't help but feel hyper-aware of all the people around him as he readies himself to tackle the task set before him. Of course, given how many people are busy dancing themselves, he doubts they're actually going to be paying attention to him, but... well...
... ah, screw it, he thinks stubbornly. If anyone laughs at him, he'll just punch them in the mouth. That'll teach 'em to screw with Yusuke Urameshi.]
So, uh...
[Yusuke tries to sound casual.]
You ever heard of moonwalking?
[... oh god, it begins. That isn't even from the '90's...]
no subject
She beams when he concedes; it's kind of like a victory! She is the winner. Letting go of his hand, she drops back to await his demonstration like a good student, grinning the whole while.]
Moonwalking?
[This girl barely even comprehends that people can go to the moon, let alone dance like it. That's what that means, right?]
No! What's it? You've got to show me!
no subject
Anyway, Yusuke's a little chagrined still, but he's gotta admire that enthusiasm. Or at least look a little amused by it, anyway, hence why he ends up grinning a bit despite himself.]
Okay, okay! Just give me a minute to think here.
[IT'S BEEN A WHILE SINCE HE'S WATCHED A MICHAEL JACKSON MUSIC VIDEO... like, a couple years, at least. Yusuke's not too worried about being super accurate, though. When in doubt, make shit up. That's practically his life philosophy at this point.
... that said, he does want to look like he at least sort of knows what he's doing here, so he does take that minute to think. Then, once he's as prepared as he reckons he'll ever be, he looks at her and says:]
All right, so - basically, what you're tryin' to do here is look like you're walking, but you're being pulled backwards at the same time. So like...
[Yusuke sucks in a breath and steels himself. HE'S GONNA DO IT, HE'S GONNA DO IT, HE'S GONNA DO IT, HE'S GONNA...
... awkwardly shuffle backwards with his hands in his pockets. Yeah. That's what he's gonna do. WELP. That wasn't as awful as one might've expected it to be, but it was certainly underwhelming.]
no subject
Then her jaw drops as her head tilts.]
That's it?
[She looks... pretty underwhelmed. Not that it's going to stop her from putting her hands where imaginary pockets would be in her dress and trying to mimic the backward shuffle. Which, considering it's an attempt at mimicking what Yusuke is doing, means it looks less like a moonwalk and more her literally trying to shuffle backwards.]
Like this?
