10/7 Maybe? idk just around whenever Joker's back in Goldenrod
He's left most of his team back at the Circus tent to practice, but as usual his Manectric is walking patiently at his side, and there are a few Pokeballs on Jimmy's belt in case of an emergency, as well as a few new friends he's met last month. When he finds Jack's house he heads that way, already smiling as he hears the strange noises issuing from inside.]
Heellooooo? Anybody home?
[Jimmy pokes his head in through the door that's slightly ajar, calling out as Leader walks up a bit closer to his trainer's side. Lord knows he has to keep an eye on Jimmy at all times, and now is no different.]

[Suddenly, Eric, the worrywart Yamask pops into view wearing a tiny hardhat.]
Ma-ma-mask! Yamask?
no subject
Oh, hi there!
[He might have been startled, if it weren't for the fact that he's wearing a hard hat, and that's curious enough to distract his attention from being frightened because ghost. Leader, meanwhile, looks up, his nose twitching.]
MMmmanec.
Does a man named Jack live here?
no subject
[The source of the screaming saw presents itself as Jack saws off a few extra panels for boo-doors. He isn't wearing any sort of ear protection either.]
no subject
Once they reach the hall where Jack is sawing, Jimmy has to reach up to cover his ears in the face of the roaring, Leader's own falling back as he lets out a low, whining grunt.]
Hello? Hello! Mr. Jack? It's me! Jimmy Two-Shoes!!
no subject
[Jack beams instantly.]
YOU MUST BE JIMMY!
[He strides forward and offers a hand. He continues to yell.]
I'VE HEARD GOOD THINGS ABOUT YOU!
no subject
Ye...yeah, YEAH! I'M...JIMMY!
[He...screams back.]
no subject
[And since Jimmy is yelling, Jack can actually make out what he's saying. Still all-smiles he bustles over to the far side of the room where a table covered with binders and notebooks stands.]
WE ONLY HAVE SO MUCH TIME SO WE'LL NEED TO GET YOU FAMILIAR WITH THE HOUSE RIGHT AWAY!
[He selects a small copy-shop bound booklet and holds it out to him. It is a map of the entire house and maze with the doors, passages, slides, and illusions all clearly marked with a legend full of symbols.]
no subject
And Jimmy just doesn't seem to care, or at least he's not showing that it's bothering him too much as he reaches out to take the booklet, briefly glancing over the map.
The boy nods curtly, flashing Jack a quick salute.]
ALRIGHT! RIGHT AWAY, SIR! IS THERE ANYTHING YOU'D LIKE ME TO DO AFTER THAT?
no subject
[Jack takes a moment to wiggle a finger in one of his ears. He pauses and waits. Sigh. No difference. Everything still sounds like it's underwater.]
THEN I'LL INTRODUCE YOU TO THE CAST.
no subject
[Jimmy looks over his shoulder at Leader, who is actually a yard away now, glaring at them both for their unholy screeching in closed doors.]
UM...I HAVE A QUESTION, THOUGH!
WHY ARE WE YELLING, SIR?
no subject
[He points upward to where a dozen or so Noibat roost in the long rafters. Ever so quietly. For it was the daytime.]
no subject
[JACK ARE YOU OKAY...maybe you shouldn't have...been doing all that sawing...]
no subject
[Jack looks at Jimmy with concern before grabbing up a map of his own and guiding him out of the room. There were halls, stairs, passages, and tunnels to show him!]

[The skeleton-on-the-inside pauses in the hall, grabs a candle holder, and gives it a good crank. A panel on the ceiling swings downward, forming a slide.]
WE NEED TO PUT PADDING HERE IN THIS HALL. THIS SLIDE IS NEW.
no subject
[...]
I MEAN, THAT'S COOL!
no subject
WHY, THANK YOU!
[He leads him onward. The Pumpkin King deliberately presses his heel against he pattern on one of the hall rugs and very slowly the wall opens with a screech. Jack doesn't flinch.]
I THINK THE WEATHER IS MAKING THE FRAME OF THE HOUSE WARP SO THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED.
no subject
The boy nods slightly though.]
GOT IT!
no subject
STUDY YOUR MAP, HELP ME WHEN YOU CAN, AND TOMORROW WILL COME YOUR REAL TEST.
[He leans down, sadly still at full volume.]
I WANT YOU TO SCARE ME.
no subject
[Well...that can't be too hard really, now can it? Jimmy nods quickly, flashing Jack a quick salute.]
OKAY! I WON'T LET YOU DOWN, SIR!
no subject
I LOOK FORWARD TO IT!
no subject
WELL, HE'LL THINK OF SOMETHING. YEAH.
capslockHOOOO]ME TOO! SO, IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I NEED TO KNOW?
no subject
[He gives Jimmy a slightly-too-hard pat on the head.]
no subject
OKAY! I'LL SCARE YOU SO BAD YOU WON'T KNOW WHAT HI-
[He's stopped when he feels a sharp tugging on his shirt- which is Leader, with the edge of Jimmy's shirt in his teeth. It's time to go, child.]
ANYWAYS, I'LL SEE YOU LATER!
