7th Act - Boys and girls of every age
Who: Come one, come all!
Where: Goldenrod, the Eve's Garden Circus
When: The 11th - 13th
Summary: Just like always, the Circus is busy as usual... But with a bit of a spooky twist added on thanks to their current partnership with a certain Haunted House.
Rating: PG
Log:

The Circus is always bustling with activity, even on the days when the shows in the Big Top aren't on. There's plenty of stalls to enjoy besides those, after all! Games, and food, and stalls with all sorts of interesting things for sale. For those living in Goldenrod or passing through, it's no doubt quickly settled itself as a regular scene.
On the 11th, however... Just as always when the shows are promised to happen, the Circus is more bustling than usual and today there's a twist. On the 11th, those walking past the Circus' gates will find themselves in QUITE the different atmosphere. Genuine spider webs are strung across the stalls, skulls strung up in them that seem to clack their teeth at passerby. legions of pumpkins are sprawled throughout the area. At night, and on the foggy day of the 13th, their eerie glow lights up twisting paths throughout the circus grounds. Even quite a few of the workers seem to have gotten into the spirit (possibly at their boss' badgering), and wear outfits from the simple masks to the more complex things.
Beyond the change in atmosphere, however, there are still the things that are usually about! Food, games, and stalls selling various knickknacks can all be found relatively easy although they're joined by a few other themed goods. There's also, of course, the show that will be playing three times a day in the big tent proper!
One notable addition is what appears to be a small station of sorts with a rather ominous carriage that stops at it every now and then pulled by what appear to be a pair of Rapidash... only colored darkly with bones painted across their heads and what might be actual skulls acting as face covers. Well then! Perhaps you might be interested in letting it take you to Jack's Haunted House?
So relax. Have fun! And cross your fingers that you're not terrified of scary clowns and giant spiders.

His face had been done up to resemble a rather simplified skull resembling his duskull while said duskull in question had been given a red nose and ruffles around its neck. For their main act, reaper and pokemon are about a good distance apart, the duskull juggling what seems to be an assortment of fruit that had been sculpted and peeled to look like skulls. Seemingly at random, Grim tosses up fruit a good few feet into the air one at a time and each bit is speared through the middle with a well-aimed dart right between the "eyes".
As soon as his performance is done though, he can be seen hanging around the front of the tents with his noctowl and his cherubi who have been done up with the same skull-like facepaint. Both pokemon are handing out the same fliers the ones Joker's Ariados and Pikachu have been handing out about the breeding center needing help. Meanwhile, his duskull is wandering around where their audience was, looking for any lost objects to return to their owners... just in case. ]
Next show's in thirty minutes! 'Preciate your patronage!
[ Man the limelight feels great but he'd be grateful for a cold beer after this. ]

[Knife-throwing? Now that's relevant to Parker's interests. She's staying far away from the horses, and she's a little apprehensive about spooky evil clowns named Gigi that hide under your bed, but anything that involves target practice, now that's right up her alley.
Which is why she's definitely going to corner the guy when he's hanging out in front of the tents, looking enthusiastic and probably rotting out her teeth with a caramel apple while she's at it.]
Hey, you're the knife-thrower guy. Where'd you learn to do that?
no subject
[ He'll just take a moment to palm a handful of his darts out to appear between his fingers as if to give her a small demonstration of what he used. ]
It's a little something you learn off the street. Handy little sleight of hand when you need it. Interested in the art, are we?

But something he says strikes her oddly — something you "learn off the street", he'd said. She remembers where she'd learned quick fingers and how to make things disappear on the street, too. And all of a sudden she's curious now, because all of that is reading to her as "thief".
Despite these thoughts, though, she does a fair job at keeping her voice light and cheerful.]
Kind of! It's really cool. Do you always hit what you aim at?
no subject
99% of the time I do. Course, it's been a while so you prolly wouldn't believe the hoops I had to go throughto get my arm back in shape.
Fancy giving it a go?
no subject
[She works her mouth around a little bit, clearly intrigued by the prospect of "giving it a go", as offered.]
Are you gonna teach me how to throw it?
no subject
[ There's a small shrug and a smile as he sticks his hands into his pockets. ]
You seem like a stout lass. Wouldn't have a problem pulling it off, I wager.
no subject
[She says, putting out her hand eagerly.]
Show me how.
no subject
[ There's a smile back though as he offers his hand. ]
It's just 'round back, if you wouldn't mind coming with?
no subject
Sure! Sure, that sounds great. I mean, it's not like you're gonna lead me out into the woods and murder me, right?
[In fairness, she's obviously trying to make a joke, but Parker...]

[ There's a shrug as he decides to fold his arms behind his back. ]
I'm Ronald, by the way, and you are...?
no subject
[She takes another bite of her apple.]
I'm Alice.
no subject
[ Taking a step back to offer her his arm. ]
How're you enjoying the circus, by the way?
