7th Act - Boys and girls of every age
Who: Come one, come all!
Where: Goldenrod, the Eve's Garden Circus
When: The 11th - 13th
Summary: Just like always, the Circus is busy as usual... But with a bit of a spooky twist added on thanks to their current partnership with a certain Haunted House.
Rating: PG
Log:

The Circus is always bustling with activity, even on the days when the shows in the Big Top aren't on. There's plenty of stalls to enjoy besides those, after all! Games, and food, and stalls with all sorts of interesting things for sale. For those living in Goldenrod or passing through, it's no doubt quickly settled itself as a regular scene.
On the 11th, however... Just as always when the shows are promised to happen, the Circus is more bustling than usual and today there's a twist. On the 11th, those walking past the Circus' gates will find themselves in QUITE the different atmosphere. Genuine spider webs are strung across the stalls, skulls strung up in them that seem to clack their teeth at passerby. legions of pumpkins are sprawled throughout the area. At night, and on the foggy day of the 13th, their eerie glow lights up twisting paths throughout the circus grounds. Even quite a few of the workers seem to have gotten into the spirit (possibly at their boss' badgering), and wear outfits from the simple masks to the more complex things.
Beyond the change in atmosphere, however, there are still the things that are usually about! Food, games, and stalls selling various knickknacks can all be found relatively easy although they're joined by a few other themed goods. There's also, of course, the show that will be playing three times a day in the big tent proper!
One notable addition is what appears to be a small station of sorts with a rather ominous carriage that stops at it every now and then pulled by what appear to be a pair of Rapidash... only colored darkly with bones painted across their heads and what might be actual skulls acting as face covers. Well then! Perhaps you might be interested in letting it take you to Jack's Haunted House?
So relax. Have fun! And cross your fingers that you're not terrified of scary clowns and giant spiders.

No. Looking after twenty Litleos was not easy. And Beast may be a stellar performer, but that's in the big ring- people watch, she doesn't actually have to interact with them close-up longer than dealing with an audience volunteer.
There's a reason for that, maybe.]

Good work~. When's the last ya ate, then?
[Because he has something and he can promise it's delicious.]

Opened.
Smiled a little but tried not to show it, and not to look too eager to take the plate.]
Same to ye. - Lunch, reckon.
[Okay, now she can take the plate. Nice and hot-
Stop it Joker, she's trying to be grumpy, here.]

[He drags a seat over to be besides her, plopping down onto it with his arm swung across the back. It's been a good busy day, the kind he can't help but admit he thrives under. Hopefully Beast feels the same way- better worked to the bone than worrying about their situation.]
Think we're lucky ta get so busy with so much good food 'bout, or else we might get fat! [A chuckle.]

[She wouldn't voice an agreement if it was posed out loud, but Beast was the same. Maybe they were all like that. They knew the only way to forget the pains and unfairness of their situation had always been to throw themselves headlong in to something else- whether it had been begging or proper work once they had it.
Beast immediately starts tucking in- hungrier than she'd thought.]

[There'll be plenty of time to catch up on his fill later tonight anyway- stuff his stomach in a way that still brings no small amount of relief to a part of his mind still stuck thinking of gutters and bruises and let him fall asleep deep and quick so no nightmares nip at his heels.]
[It's nicer to know that she's able to eat anyway, so he just lets the two of them rest of the moment. Chatter can always come later.]

[Muttered around a mouthful, and Beast doesn't seem like she's exactly going to stop digging in to supper.
But she does slide the plate over to offer some. And she's not taking it back till he takes some.]
no subject
[It dies off quick enough when he realizes what's been nudged over to him, and he blinks.]
'ey now, no, that's for yerself, I know you've been workin' hard out there.
no subject
[No one taught her not to speak with her mouthful, (except in front of Father), so. No problem.]
no subject
Don't know how I could've forgotten ya were so stubborn!

Who made this?
[It was... kind of good.]

[Better than anything she could whip up, anyway]
