[He stands on the step of a house, the door slamming behind him. He holds a bag of items and familiar red and white balls. Perched on his head is a familiar weight and he looks up to see a pair of black eyes blinking down at him.]

Pi--chu!

Guess I'm back.

[Well, there's no point in sticking around New Bark Town. Time to start again.

What Roxas doesn't notice is the rustling in the grass behind him, or the fact that there seems to be large field of static electricity.

Xion just took a step into the trees for some morning training and now suddenly she's...here again?

Oh god, she should call Riku or Kairi, ask them for help--get that teleporting thingie since she can't use the usual method of RTC anymore and--

Minnie the Dedenne, perched on her shoulder as always, senses the panic welling up and nuzzles her trainer comfortingly.

Okay. Take a deep breath, Xion, this is only a minor setback that happened for...some reason. Not the end of the world. If it's this darn place again, there's likely to be people shoved out of Mom's house, she can check out newcomers and...stuff. Obviously. Channel your inner Axel and stride up like it's no big deal, Xion, you can do it!

...Except the person she's striding on up to IS a pretty big deal and she suddenly can't say anything at all when she realizes what exactly she's looking at.]

...Um. [Good job, Xion. First thing you say to your best friend when the last time you saw him was as you were DYING is just "um." Brilliant.]

[Roxas turns around at the sound of the voice and is honestly surprised. Of all the people he'd expected to run into, Xion was an unexpected bonus. His mind was filled with questions and excitement. How long had she been back? How long had he been away? Did she still remember him?]

Xion? Hey! Did you just get here to?

[faintwaves]

Roxas...

[No, she could never forget him, by all intents and purposes she was thinking he had forgotten her. That was how it was supposed to be, right?]

I...no, I've been here for a few months now--the weird part is ending up back at the beginning like this. I was with Kairi, Riku, and Sora last time--oh, and our friend Ilya, too.

[...This is really weird, she doesn't know what you do when reuniting with friends. Hug them maybe??]

But you actually remember me?

[She must have come back in the time that he was gone. Good to know that things were still weird as ever around here.]

Yeah, of course I do. I mean, we travelled together for a long time, I'm not gonna forget that anytime soon. [Not like the rest of his memories of her. Which he still wants to remember because when he looks at Xion his heart aches.]

I'm really glad to see you again.

[So he still doesn't remember how close they actually were, but...]

I never thought I'd see you again.

[But he's still her very best and beloved friend.]

I'm so happy that I can! I've got so much more stuff to talk to you about now...although I haven't found sea-salt ice cream yet, sadly.

[He can't really say where he's been between trips here. Probably with Sora. But that doesn't matter now.]

When I was here they had some in Violet City, so we can try there. Otherwise it just sort of shows up.

Have you ever been to the top of Sprout Tower?

[The idea that he can actually explore Johto again with a friend is a really exciting one.]
