Fascinating. I never really expected this...

[ This one looks a little too excited. If anything, the Solosis he's with seems a touch disturbed with his enthusiasm. It floats here and there, almost hesitant as its new trainer looks it over and around, taking readings from a strange doohickey that beeps in a low tone. ]

I've only seen you in the video games but to be able to see you up close is nothing short of a miracle.

[ Again, more readings. Again, more slightly annoyed gurgling from the Solosis. ]

I think I'm going to name you Hooke. A real pokemon! I'm beside myself! If only Cecil was here...

[ There's a sigh though as he considers it. Would Cecil have played the games to begin with? But his momentary musing is cut short when his attention is caught by a nearby pokemon. Heck, it could be one of yours. But at any rate, he'll be approaching with said Solosis in tow. ]

Oh hello, sir! Why no, not at all. Please feel free to examine. I am certain Jim wouldn't mind in the least.

[ Edd steps to the side, allowing Carlos to get a closer look at the small, round Cacnea seated beside him. ]

Though I must say, your assessment of this situation as being 'fascinating' is quite the understatement.

[ Likewise, Edd produces a rather large magnifying glass from the pocket of his shorts and holds it up to Carlos' Solosis, humming curiously. ]

Fascinating is just the tip of the iceberg. I didn't think I'd ever see a real pokemon up close... much less find myself here. Though I could only chalk it up to yet another temporal distortion. But how that's possible without having passed through another door is beyond me.

[ He's crouched down to the Cacnea's eye leve, bringing up said doohickey to it and checking the readings after a couple of beeps. Meanwhile, Hooke's rolling his eyes (best as a Solosis can) at said Cacnea as if to say "Humor him." ]

Here I'd thought he'd have more danger units... goes to show. [ And a pause to look up at Edd. ] Sorry about that. I just couldn't help myself.
