Why Don't You Go Where Fashion Sits?
Who: Participants of the Kalosmas New Year's Event!
Where: The Hotel Richissime, in scenic Lumiose City, Kalos!
When: Wednesday, December 31 - Thursday, January 1!
Summary: After all the shenanigans of Hoennween, it's about time everybody had a chance to relax and unwind, courtesy of some actually benign NPCs. With all the luxuries of the Hotel Richissime waiting at their disposal, that shouldn't be too difficult a prospect!
Rating: PG in general; please mark threads that go higher accordingly!

A FEW OTHER SETTING NOTES:
• At the moment, this log spans the entirety of the New Year's Eve plot, so starters may be posted for any time on either day of the event. If things start getting massive and it looks like an overflow log will be necessary, we'll definitely see about putting one up, and will link it to this one if need be.
• The Event Itinerary can be found here! Remember that participating in this course of events is not mandatory, but it's what will be going on in the grand scheme of things over the course of the event.
• All event participants are being housed on the fourth and fifth floors of the hotel. Your bedrooms are laid out like this; if you participated in our IC Rooming Roulette, you can find your buddy on this table here!
• Most activities here will be free! ICly, your characters will use their room cards to "pay" for most things, and the charges will be applied to their room (which of course, they are not paying for personally). Gift shops, parts of the casino, and food not provided as part of the event are not chargeable to your rooms and characters will have to use their own money in those locations.
• Underage characters may use the casino; however, they may be subject to some social scrutiny and side-eyeing in the event that they attempt to get in on one of the high-roller tables.
A NOTE ABOUT USING THREADS ON THIS LOG FOR AC:
Because of how our AC period works (the grace week into January still counting toward December), all threads on this log are valid toward December's AC, regardless of timestamp! However, because the log technically spans two different months and we want to encourage tagging out on it, we have also made this decision:
On this log and this log alone, comment threads timestamped in January (OOCly) that reach AC-length may be used towards January's AC, as well. Therefore, if a thread on this log reaches AC length with 10+ comments timestamped in January, you can use it toward January's AC (assuming the same thread has not already been used to satisfy December's AC).

Wha... You!
no subject
[He's been pretty good at avoiding detection so far tonight, but his luck obviously can't last forever.]
[FORTUNATELY, his training covered this!]
[Blinking innocently up at Veronica, he holds up a silk handkerchief that he was OBVIOUSLY just trying to return to its rightful owner.]
You dropped this, miss!
[The Zubat on his head lets out an affirming squeak. IT'S TRUE HE SAW THE WHOLE THING HAPPEN. Unless you didn't happen to lose a handkerchief. Then it's obviously a mistake, but gosh darnit isn't this kid so polite for trying to return it anyway?]
no subject
You better put that back, do you know how long it took her to make that look good. Do you.
Yeah.]
....Hmph. [She knew darn well that he was lying, but who really cared. As long as he put it back.]
...Wrath, right? That's your name?
[She remembers you from that one time.]
no subject
--yeah, that's my name!
You're the lady with the stitches!
[.... SORRY VERONICA after all that talk about long human names, he managed to totally forget yours. You're LADY WITH THE STITCHES now congratulations.]
no subject
Uhh, yeah... I am, actually. My name's Veronica.
[In case he... forgot? Kid, do we have to go over the whole names thing again?]
no subject
[DON'T WORRY. He won't make you go through that again.]
[Instead he leans in a little, cheerfully peering up at her. Or more specifically, at her scars.]
Wow! Your stitches are even weirder close up!
[.... ON ONE HAND THAT'S RUDE AS HELL WRATH WOW, but on the other, it doesn't sound like he means it in an insulting or mocking way. He sounds genuinely delighted by how weird they are.]
no subject
A light sigh. No stabbings would happen today.]
Uhh, thank you..?
[She had her scars pointed out enough times that it barely fazed her. Such comments were common.
Also, she was just noticing that you're a really little kid wow.]
I'm always going to have them.
no subject
[He is indeed really little. And looks kind of awkward in that suit, even though it fits him just fine.]
That's how scars work, right?
I have one, but I didn't get it myself, it was just like that when it got to me.
Wanna see?
no subject
Yeah, that's how scars work usually. I guess you could get them treated though.
[Not that she ever would. Her only option would be Fran, and...
...Kid that doesn't really make sense.]
Umm... sure?
no subject
See? I forgot about it when we talked before, but it's definitely a scar.
It's from a fox bite.
The dummy who had this arm before me got himself bitten by a fox somehow!
[He sounds VERY AMUSED about this, and it would be fairly easy to blow it off as some story generated by an overactive imagination, but... she may notice that the skin on that arm is very much a different color than the skin on his face, and other hand.]
no subject
She stared at the arms, a sudden sense of familiarity taking over. This was by no means a product of an overactive imagination.]
This isn't you're original arm?
no subject
[He says this cheerfully.]
It belonged to an idiot who practically threw it away!
no subject
...Huh.
[she rolled up her sleeve to the wrist, showing the line of scars and stitches there.]
I have much of the same thing.
no subject
[Eyes widening, Wrath leans in to look closer.]
I didn't know humans could do that!
Where'd YOUR arm come from?
[... WRATH THAT'S KIND OF INVASIVE TO ASK.]
no subject
Uhh, humans can't do this. Not without good medical knowledge.
[She shrugged uselessly, rolling up her sleeve to the elbow now to look at more of the scars.]
I... don't know. It's a replacement from another one I lost.
no subject
Oh!
So it's like automail, but with meat.
[THAT MAKES SENSE.]
no subject
[SHE DOESNT KNOW WHAT THAT IS BUT OKAY]
It's not just my arm, though.
no subject
Not just your arm?
You must've lost lots of pieces of you.
no subject
Yeah, I have. You could say I'm made of other people's parts.
no subject
Wow, not even the best chimera-maker where I come from could do that!
You're amazing!
[There's no sarcasm whatsoever. He genuinely thinks that is just NEAT AS HELL.]
no subject
[Hearing that surprised her a little. To be liked for what she was, instead of called a monster? This place was amazing.]
Yeah, I guess I'm like a chimera.
no subject
Most human chimeras are part animal and even THOSE are super rare. Making one from a bunch of people sounds like it must've been real hard!
[She won't be getting any judgment from Wrath on the subject of being a monster-- he's a monster, a REAL one, and he's well aware of it. An abomination, a damned, soulless being. Do certain things alarm him? Of course. But a girl sewn together out of dead people parts? That's HIS brand of freaky.]
no subject
And another sign of how strange this world was. Seriously-- this kid was a little weird, but his heart seemed to be in the right place, especially if he seemed to be some sort of creation as well.]
Huh, well, it's not that hard, actually. [She messed with her sleeves as she talked, occasionally glancing over her shoulder.] But, it needs a special formula, and I don't know how it works. I have two sisters that are like me, too. And there's a bunch of other monsters that live with us.
[She shrugged.] I can't really say much, though.
no subject
Oh!
Is it a secret?
Is that why you can't say much about it?
That's okay, I have secrets too.
no subject
Yeah, I'm supposed to protect our family's secrets, since there is always someone trying to get them, and they could fall into the wrong hands.
[Which could be worse then the hands they were currently in somehow?]
Good, then you understand.
