Why Don't You Go Where Fashion Sits?

Who: Participants of the Kalosmas New Year's Event!
Where: The Hotel Richissime, in scenic Lumiose City, Kalos!
When: Wednesday, December 31 - Thursday, January 1!
Summary: After all the shenanigans of Hoennween, it's about time everybody had a chance to relax and unwind, courtesy of some actually benign NPCs. With all the luxuries of the Hotel Richissime waiting at their disposal, that shouldn't be too difficult a prospect!
Rating: PG in general; please mark threads that go higher accordingly!

A FEW OTHER SETTING NOTES:

• At the moment, this log spans the entirety of the New Year's Eve plot, so starters may be posted for any time on either day of the event. If things start getting massive and it looks like an overflow log will be necessary, we'll definitely see about putting one up, and will link it to this one if need be.

• The Event Itinerary can be found here! Remember that participating in this course of events is not mandatory, but it's what will be going on in the grand scheme of things over the course of the event.

• All event participants are being housed on the fourth and fifth floors of the hotel. Your bedrooms are laid out like this; if you participated in our IC Rooming Roulette, you can find your buddy on this table here!

Most activities here will be free! ICly, your characters will use their room cards to "pay" for most things, and the charges will be applied to their room (which of course, they are not paying for personally). Gift shops, parts of the casino, and food not provided as part of the event are not chargeable to your rooms and characters will have to use their own money in those locations.

• Underage characters may use the casino; however, they may be subject to some social scrutiny and side-eyeing in the event that they attempt to get in on one of the high-roller tables.

A NOTE ABOUT USING THREADS ON THIS LOG FOR AC:

Because of how our AC period works (the grace week into January still counting toward December), all threads on this log are valid toward December's AC, regardless of timestamp! However, because the log technically spans two different months and we want to encourage tagging out on it, we have also made this decision:

On this log and this log alone, comment threads timestamped in January (OOCly) that reach AC-length may be used towards January's AC, as well. Therefore, if a thread on this log reaches AC length with 10+ comments timestamped in January, you can use it toward January's AC (assuming the same thread has not already been used to satisfy December's AC).

[ Ah, another familiar face. At least this one was meant to still be alive. ]

Is it wise to feed such things to reptiles?
silentscales: (this is my nervous face)

Whee!

[personal profile] silentscales 2015-01-05 06:18 am (UTC)(link)
[Snake looks up at Suit, fork still in his Seviper's mouth. Snake takes it back and the Seviper looks at Snake meaningfully.]

It isn't bad for us every once in a while, and pokèmon aren't really reptiles like the snakes back in England, says Gaskell.

[With an expression that is somehow less serious and a little happier without really showing much change in his face snake adds,]

We've missed you, says Gaskell.

/o/

[personal profile] death_glare 2015-01-05 06:28 am (UTC)(link)
[ That certainly wasn't something he was expecting to hear. He'd only 'been with the circus' for a short time. It was peculiar how its members had grown attached to him. ]

Ah.

[ He clears his throat and pushes his glasses up slightly, unsure of how to respond. ]

It certainly has been some time, hasn't it?
silentscales: (talking with Emily)

Normally yes, feeding cake to snakes would be bad, if you could get them to eat it but Kuro logic!

[personal profile] silentscales 2015-01-05 06:47 am (UTC)(link)
[Snake nods, gesturing for Suit to join him.]

How long have you been here, Suit? asks Gaskell.
death_glare: (pidove on shoulder)

I'm imagining them stealing Ciel's sweets when he's not looking.

[personal profile] death_glare 2015-01-05 06:52 am (UTC)(link)
[ He takes the offered seat, placing his cup of tea on the table. ]

Barely three weeks. I take it you've been here awhile?
silentscales: (casual)

lol yes. Well, after someone get him to not want to kill Ciel. Since he now knows about the deaths.

[personal profile] silentscales 2015-01-05 09:32 pm (UTC)(link)
[Snake nods,] Almost a year, says Gaskell.
death_glare: (Default)

can be like a form of pre-killing torture. No sweets...and now you die!

[personal profile] death_glare 2015-01-06 03:07 am (UTC)(link)
Where are you staying? I don't believe I saw you with the others.

[ Ronald's been letting him stay in his tent with him until he gets some money together. ]
silentscales: (this is my nervous face)

I like the way you think

[personal profile] silentscales 2015-01-06 03:48 am (UTC)(link)
[Snake shoves some cake into his mouth to give himself another moment to answer.]

We've got a small apartment in Goldenrod, but we've been thinking of moving into the tents again, says Gaskell.

[The Rocket housing was becoming less and less convenient as he met more people and made more friends. Joker knew, and as far as Snake is concerned only Joker needed to know. Rocket would get angry if Snake did tell more people, but it wasn't like the man to talk much about himself anyway.]
death_glare: (Default)

yes good

[personal profile] death_glare 2015-01-06 05:45 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not certain how long I will be staying there. I'd prefer an apartment, myself.

[ He takes a calm sip of his tea. His Pidove flutters off his shoulder and onto the table. She eyes Gaskell warily, slowly hopping closer to the tempting cake. ]
silentscales: (dislike)

Muahahahahahaha

[personal profile] silentscales 2015-01-06 05:59 am (UTC)(link)
[Pidoves are not on the top of a seviper's menu, but that doesn't keep Gaskell from staring the Pidove down and chomping the air in front of him. Snake looks to the Pidove,]

That belongs to me and Snake! says Gaskell.

[Snake turns back to Suit,]

I wouldn't need to use pokèballs almost ever if I moved into the tents. But I got here before Joker, but I haven't put much thought into moving, says Gaskell.
death_glare: (Default)

and then we can steal all the cats from sebastian

[personal profile] death_glare 2015-01-06 06:40 am (UTC)(link)
Mercury stop. That's not polite.

[ The Pidove twitters insistently until William scolds it again. It flutters back up, deciding to perch atop Will's head. William sighs and plucks it down, smoothing out his hair. ]

How is that? Does he have an easier way of catching Pokémon?
silentscales: (talking with Emily)

KITTIES! :D

[personal profile] silentscales 2015-01-06 06:45 am (UTC)(link)
We can talk them into staying with us, but he caught all of us so we couldn't be stolen as easily. We just don't spend much time in pokèballs, says Gaskell.

[Snake says nothing about the misbehaving bird. If he had his snivy with him he'd probably be apologizing for thrown cake or something of the like. More training would have to happen before he could bring that pokèmon around everywhere.]
death_glare: (Default)

[personal profile] death_glare 2015-01-08 11:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Stolen?

[ William frowns. He apparently hasn't been informed of Team Rocket yet. ]
silentscales: (concern)

[personal profile] silentscales 2015-01-09 06:05 pm (UTC)(link)
....

There are thieves even here. A group called Team Rocket has been known to steal strong pokèmon from trainers for their own uses, says Gaskell.
death_glare: (huff)

[personal profile] death_glare 2015-01-09 11:01 pm (UTC)(link)
[ Shaking his head. ]

I hardly understand mortals and the things they find important.
silentscales: (talking with Emily)

[personal profile] silentscales 2015-01-10 01:45 am (UTC)(link)
Surviving and getting stronger, says Gaskell.
death_glare: (Default)

[personal profile] death_glare 2015-01-15 07:54 am (UTC)(link)
Honestly, it's all superficial in the end.
silentscales: (talking with Emily)

[personal profile] silentscales 2015-01-15 05:16 pm (UTC)(link)
...

You seem to have a rather dark outlook. Superficial or not, you need to live through life either way. It's just instinct to survive. But we can do what we like to make surviving easier. All intelligent animals have one way or another of playing, says Gaskell.
death_glare: (reading)

[personal profile] death_glare 2015-01-17 05:42 am (UTC)(link)
I suppose it makes the records slightly less mundane to view. Still, most mortals have their deaths predetermined.
silentscales: (realization)

[personal profile] silentscales 2015-01-18 05:46 am (UTC)(link)
Records? asks Gaskell.
death_glare: (Default)

[personal profile] death_glare 2015-01-19 10:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Cinematic Records. Quite literally a film reel of one's life, viewable by a reaper at the time of one's death.
silentscales: (casual)

[personal profile] silentscales 2015-01-27 10:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Are you a grim reaper then, Suit? says Gaskell.
