Somewhat a homecoming
Who: Neku Sakuraba and OPEN
Where: Goldenrod
When: 7/21
Summary: Neku is finally back 'home' after completing all the Kanto badges and is wandering around the city and catching up on things
Rating: PG-13 in case of a certain bird's pottymouth
Log:
[a]
When Neku had time to actually settle in to his hotel, it was... surreal, being back here after so long. And right away he needed to get out and about. It was just... weird, being indoors other then in a pokemon center now. So soon he was out on the streets, taking his Furfrou, Eiji, for a walk.
The poodle is freshly groomed in fact, her bushy fur cut into something resembling the Star cut, though anyone that's seen real Kalos Furfrou can tell it's an amateur job- but certainly not a hack job either. If the brightly colored dog doesn't attract one's attention, the fact that Neku is doing obedience training outside the Dept Store might. Having the dog lay down or sit- even roll over a few times even though it musses up her nice haircut.
"Good girl. See, it's not that hard."
Looks like someone if getting a poffin!
[b]
Only thing stranger then getting called out by someone you might not know? Something you can't SEE either. Which might be what's happening as people walk down the street and a slightly echo-y version of Neku's voice calls out:
"Hey, over here!"
But if anyone turns to look there's no one there. Well, there's a very brightly colored parrot pokemon on an awning, but otherwise? Nope.
Ghosts, obviously.

B, not!ghosts
"Huh? Ne...ku?" And there's no ginger kid in sight, just Luke and a small crowd, some of whom looked up at the call, spotted the bird, and continued walking. "...the hell are you?"

"Do you wanna poffin?" Same voice, just slightly echo-y, like a recording.
no subject
"A what? Stop talking in that voice, it's weird!" Like the bird will listen to him or anything.
no subject
"Yarn?" He clicks his tongue... "Mreowth?" Okay bird, that's a Meowth, stop that.
no subject
That was rude, his hair stuck up in places, but it didn't look that bad!
"Hey, I'm not--yarn? You're crazy, what the hell are you?" He takes a tentative swipe at the bird, just in case it bites or pecks or whatever, before getting a better idea and getting out the Gear to point at it.
"Chatot?"

no subject
"Yeah, whatever. I'm gonna assume you belong to Neku, but where is he?"
He's not going to go searching for the kid, instead finding Neku's number in the Gear and calling him.
no subject
Chatot hears his voice and starts squaking loudly, dancing even harder.
no subject
"He was pretending to be you earlier, so I thought he might be yours," he adds, in case Neku can hear it over the squawks. Hopefully Twister won't get himself tangled up in Luke's hair with all that moving around.

There's a clear tone of laughter in Neku's voice as his parrot gets, if possible, even LOUDER in his joy.

And it doesn't take long. Neku isn't that far away. And once he's in sight Twister whistles, flying over to sit on his shoulder and start singing again.
"Thanks Luke, I've been looking everywhere for him."
late tag is very late
"At least he's just annoying and not destructive. Did you teach him to talk or do they do that on their own?"
