The time it takes for the other to process this whole hand-shaking conundrum is somewhat... endearing. It reminds him a little of how some of the villagers living close to the 4077th would take to American customs with an air of curious apprehension and just like back then there's a very satisfying feeling when it stands clear that they've made a connection over the cultural borders.
