It was Angela who had initially perked up at the sound in the thicket -- the sound, yes, but more than anything, the smell. She'd never encountered another dragon before, but it was a scent that she knew instinctively. Uncoiling herself and leaving the Poliwag to chirp and chatter amongst themselves, she whined and yipped at her trainer -- who gave her a curious look.

When he finally heard Kairi's would-be battle command coming from behind him, Angela was already there to meet them, looking alert, but... not aggressive. Yet.

Scooting around from where he sat, he did a quick double-take.

"... Kairi?! What're you doing out here?"
