He hesitates for a moment. Not in deciding whether he should tell her or not, because if she's seen him, if he's done something to her, or if he's planning to, she deserves to know. If nothing else so she will know to stay away.

And there's something else there, too, crawling in the back of his subconscious that he's so afraid to look at he hardly knows it's there.
