i'm not in it to win it
Who: Youji & Larry.
Where: Goldenrod Department Store.
When: The previous Thursday.
Summary: A cool bored guy runs into a slightly less cool guy who actually has a plan.
Rating: PG at the most, but I doubt it'll break G.
Log:
Shopping wasn't as enjoyable when you didn't have a bag to carry. Asuka had trained him too well, and it was much too quiet inside his own head. He could browse all day and far into the night, but there wasn't much he hadn't already seen, or bought. The dolls were charming, but who to give them to? And the others were well set on what they needed. He'd picked up a few Valentine's gifts for his girls, and Tesla, too, but actually steering this ship was unspeakably dull. Ladies just had a knack for navigating these depths, and Youji was adrift without that kind of intuition.
Although blaming the lack of intuition was likely a bit much. In fairness, he'd been adrift far longer than he'd been in Johto; the lack of missions to help him pretend that differences were being made just exacerbated he concept, and now things were far too loud inside his own head. Lovely.
A distraction would be more than welcome.
