[The address sent out to everyone they knew would come was on the north side of Goldenrod, hidden in a mess of dead end back alleys and the shadows of the other buildings. The only way to tell that it's the right building is that Lightning, a tall woman with pink hair spilling over one shoulder, is standing right at the door. She nods at everyone who comes up to her, checking names and gear frequencies before sending them inside and telling them to wait for the rest, for however long it takes.

But once the last person is inside, Lightning turns to head in right behind them, shutting and locking the the door as best she can given the fact that she doesn't have a key. She makes her way past the seats, spread out in front of and beside a pair of tables, one with several platters of sandwiches and a pair of water coolers, the other with a tray of shield shaped pins. Ven stands behind that table, going over the dry erase board that's behind it, listing the squads as Lightning comes up to stand next to him. She puts both hands on the table, then looks out over the crowd.]

You all know why you're here. We've all decided that Team Rocket can't be left alone any longer, and we know the police aren't doing anything to stop it. That means it's up to us to stop them from doing something like attacking the Magnet Train again.

[She pauses here; she's never had to give a speech like this before so she's out of her element, but...someone has to do it, right? It's a good thing that the erase board is behind her, though. Because she's pointing at it now.]

You've all been assigned to squads, and from here on out you'll have to work with them. Team Rocket is too big for anyone to take on alone, so don't separate if you can avoid having to do it. The last thing any of us need is an extended stay in the Pokémon Center because someone decided they didn't want to work with their squadmates.

[There's more than a hint of stern in her eyes as she looks over the crowd, then reaches down and picks up a golden, shield shaped pin. It's smaller than her palm, small enough to hold between two fingers easily, but it's noticeable, as is the engraving of a Pokéball and stars that grace the front of every shield. Custom work, it would seem.]

These pins mark you as members of your squad. Don't lose them, and remember the number that's engraved on the back. It's how we'll know you're not imposters or fakes trying to worm your way into this.

[She puts the pin down at that, then looks back over at the people. For better or worse, they'll have to make this work. But that doesn't mean she's not taking comments. It's not just her in this anymore.]

Any questions?
