She was early, she noticed, as she checked her Pokegear for what felt like the fifth time in the same number of seconds. Far too early. Why didn't she leave later?
Sighing, Emmy leaned back in her chair, forcing herself to relax. He hadn't cancelled. When had Kimblee failed to turn up to one of their dates? She was being ridiculous. It wasn't like her to be so on edge.
Rubbing her eyes, she quickly checked her appearence in the reflection off her Pokegear screen. It wasn't obvious she hadn't been sleeping well, now that she'd applied make-up to hide the dark circles under her eyes, but knowing him, he'd be able to tell. She's wasn't sure how she felt about that.
Really, she just wanted to see a friendly face and do something enjoyable. She needed to get her mind off...more complicated things. And when had Kimblee ever made things complicated for her? She appreciated his company more than he could know, and this time she resolved to show him. Running her fingers quickly through her hair, Emmy took a deep breath, fighting to calm herself down.
Working herself into a flustered panic wasn't very ladylike, after all.
