explosivecombat: (Go on and keep that up)

Kimblee had to admit that he hadn't expected this as the place Emmy would decide she wanted to go - the Lake of Rage, of all places? - but he couldn't say that he was displeased. He had spent several months up in this area when he'd first arrived in Johto, with very few actual people for company; he had spent most of his first month alone, and the Lake of Rage had been one of the first places he had gone.

He remembers the path well; he had caught Marat here. He was no longer training her, having traded her to Isaac months ago, but the memories were still rather clear.

He's incredibly fond of this area, and it shows; he's comfortable here, in ways that he normally isn't. He's far more relaxed, with less tension in his posture; he laughs more easily. There's no skittishness over using Nagara to get to the Lake, either, despite the rather nasty fall he'd taken off of her during the battle with Suicune; the picture Emmy snaps of him surprises him, but he just smirks at her a bit, taking a mild swat at her that isn't intended to make contact, much less hurt at all - the gesture is almost a playful one.

"Miss Altava, you realize I'm going to have to ask that you burn that as soon as it's developed; I must look like a mess - "

It's a rather good day today, really.
