Summary: A competition made null by unforeseen circumstances...
Rating: aside from swearing it's fine

[ Tavros never really cared all that much about the competition-slash-race-slash-whatever-it-is all that much—the only reason he participated at all is because he's traveling with Vriska, and it's either keep up or get left behind. he figured as long as he was along for the ride he may as well get the badges, too, and he never exactly expected to be successful at it, or to manage to get all of them.
now he's sitting in his wheelchair with all eight badges placed neatly in their case, staring at them with pride. if we want to get technical, he was first to go up against Clair, so really the winner here is him. but he's thoroughly not a part of this and not even paying attention to anything other than the solid proof of the only success he's ever had in his life, mystified. ]

Except for Karkat. She had not been planning on Karkat being a part of this victory celebration. Was it even a victory celebration if Karkat was here. This technically made the whole run a...tie. Ties were for chump losers. Not for great Pokémon masters like Vriska. Yet here they were.]
Not bad Tavros. You've finally managed to accomplish something that's worth anything. Now you can actually have something to be proud of. [She is kind of proud of him.]
[She turns to look at Karkat then.] Well here we all are, eight badges in hand. All at the same time.

Karkat's badges are in a case, protected. all of this isn't fair. he could have had his badge last week, if he hadn't been comatose. ]
Which makes everything null and void.
Though are we really surprised that Nitram got all of his? Isn't this game similar to that card shit?
