He could tell there was something bothering her; for a brief moment, she had seemed somewhat troubled. He glanced down when she lays her hand over his, however; the direct contact was pleasant, and he smiled a bit as well in turn before averting his gaze downward, gathering a bit more powder on the brush before taking a pass with it over her cheeks.

"It's good to hear you say that, Miss Altava; I've enjoyed getting to know you over this last half a year."

Again, his gaze darted away from what he was doing to look at her a bit more directly before returning to his work. "That's why the seventeenth would have been ideal, you realize; that would have been the six-month mark exactly, since you arrived in Johto. I think we're entitled to a bit of celebrating."
