What happens when you take one Demyx, one Jack, and add a whole lot of alcohol?

Who: Demyx and Jack Skellington
Where: Goldenrod
When: January 24th
Summary: Jack offers to treat Demyx to some alcohol and conversational therapy, the result is unsurprising.
Rating: PG-13 just in case?
Log:

Demyx knew he should have been packing for Kanto, packing to just get away from Johto and all of the memories he was having to cope with. But, rather than make any sort of intelligent, rational decision he instead opted to leave his room at Other Father's house and take a walk down to the new home of a certain King of Halloween. He knew that what was waiting for him might be the mother of all bad decisions, but it hardly mattered to him at the moment anyway. There was too much on his mind to suffer awareness any longer, or rather to suffer his memories and sobriety.

Which explained perfectly the reason Demyx also made a quick trip on the way down to one of the small alcohol shops in Goldenrod for a bottle of liquor he recognized from one of his pub gigs that he happened to like. A single bottle was likely to last between the two of them, he figured. And it was a fairly smooth vodka that Jack might like as well. Demyx also realized, however, that he would need to be careful. Pace himself enough not to regret...well, not to regret as many things in the morning as he could help keeping himself from doing. But the blond did hope that at least having someone more sensible than him around would keep the situation from going too far out of hand.

"Jack! I'm here! Brought something with me from a store nearby, it's a nice drink. Bit sweet, though."

Demyx entered the front of the large house with a grin despite himself. Something about being around the King of Halloween made things almost cheerful. The King of trick or treat was always an idol of his, and now that they were on fairly friendly terms it was kind of like a dream come true in and of itself. The lanky blond gave a quick scan around the room, half-expecting two or three ghosts to phase in and start scaring him already.

"You like Vodka? I tried some last time I was playing a gig at the bar on the other end of town. It's pretty nice."

Keeping things simple and friendly was all he could hope or think to do at the moment. Even knowing what he had come for, he still felt the need to sweep the situation under the rug like always. Maybe things would work themselves out? Maybe he just needed someone to talk to? Hundreds of similar excuses flew around his head while he moved through the front and into the house, none of them were anything worth admitting his attention to, but they still came. He knew why he was here, Jack probably did, too. Part of him hoped as much, part of him hoped otherwise. Either way, the blond hoped for something productive to come of this, something more productive than moping about on his own at least.

Demyx would only be somewhat disappointed.

Eric the Yanmask appeared quite suddenly and hovered around him in search of coats or bags or hats or anything he could take like a good butler! The little ghost pokemon wibbled as he did so.

It wasn't long before Jack wandered his way into the entryway with the murmur of the television following him.

"Just wine for me, thanks." He appreciated the gesture, but he knew damn well he was old and none too hardy. Wine would have to do. Thinking of the boy's problem made him remember his own that he'd had the previous year and it had lowered his mood considerably. He only hoped it turned out better for him. "Let him alone, Eric."

"Mask! Yanmask!" The ghost pokemon fretted and drifted past Jack back into the livingroom. Or unlivingroom. Or whatever a room as such belonging to an ex-skeleton should be called.
