[Months ago, Dave would have said he didn't even have a chance to catch his breath before the universe slammed a new problem down. Or a new twist to the long and winding tale that is Sburb. In truth, a lot of this is complaints about dream bubbles and the ante being cranked viciously upwards. He'd seen Dirk once clad in the Derse pjs back then. He'd only talked briefly with him face to face when Dirk took up residence in the house at Goldenrod. Little conversations over the network.
He missed Dirk just like he misses Bro. They're not the same guy because they grew up differently, but, they're just family. Hisdad brothers.
Dave leans back on his heels and shoots Dirk a quick text to tell him where to meet up with him. The edge of the forest seems like a good spot. It would keep their voices from carrying when they slammed down some sick beats or something. Lady B shifts on her hooves at his side and he gives her a reassuring pat. It will be cool. Everything is going to go fine.]
