Johan clearly wasn't bothered by their newfound proximity - and why would he be? They'd abolished personal space months ago - and Kay knew she shouldn't have been bothered by it, but... then again, was "bothered" really the term? It wasn't a bad thing... it was just being a lot closer to him than she usually was, but no big deal. And if she said that to herself multiple times, sooner or later she'd believe it wholeheartedly.
