Blake's sheep clopped to a stop behind him. He wasn't sure why he paused and looked back. Maybe it was the weird rapport Jayden seemed to have with Shaun. Maybe it was how he could still feel the kid who hated him shivering and clinging to him. Maybe it was just that he had to wait for Steve to give Shaun another hug before hopping down and padding after him.

Blake stayed back and kept his mouth shut.
