explosivecombat: (You keep to your intentions - good)

[Kimblee usually refrains from using Protect very much himself - not unless it's absolutely necessary, at any rate - though Confuse Ray is one of the few things that will warrant it; he's never been terribly interested in watching his Pokémon smack themselves repeatedly, and he's aware that losing time to that in a battle like this is likely a very, very bad idea.

If he's going to be blunt, Heal Pulse tends to annoy the living hell out of him, though he can certainly see where it's useful; his own Gardevoir tends to be fond of it (and...fond of trying to aim it at him once in a while for some reason that he will likely never be able to comprehend). So it's a matter of inflicting more damage than can be healed, then; one might as well attempt more stat-raising.

The flames exuded from Coronis' wings burn brightly as the creature starts with the signature move of its species. Outside of the possibility for stat-boosting and the fact that it inflicts a good amount of damage, Fiery Dance has always been something Kimblee enjoys on an aesthetic level; he isn't remaining still, taking to pacing a ways on his side of the field, his hands tight at his sides, forming fists for a brief moment before releasing and then starting the process over again. It's a way to burn some of the tension off, to keep himself under control for the time being; the battle is energizing him, that much is clear, and he's going to want to keep a hold on himself for as long as possible. He can't afford mistakes right now.]
