When: backdated to the time of the Fourth Wall event
Summary: It's Shou's birthday soon, but he's been warped to Pallet Town and due to an encounter with a certain mother, he remembers his twin brother.

[ When Shou awakens he feels rather disoriented, and he soon realizes why: he's awoken in... Pallet Town? Huh? After getting out of the small bed and taking a look around the small bedroom, he notices a computer -- it looks like it hasn't been used in a long time... (he probably shouldn't touch it, either) -- a Wii? They had Wii's here in the Pokemon world?! -- and a bookcase full of Pokemon related books. But it felt almost wrong to disturb the belongings in this room that he knew wasn't his, and so he headed downstairs only to find -- a rather motherly looking person. Luckily, she didn't see him approach from the stairs, as her back was to him while she sat at a small table, daydreaming. He approached her, coughing slightly. ] Um, I'm sorry! I just showed up --
[ but instantly she whirled around, slightly startled at first, but then relaxing and nodding, before speaking: ] "Hi! Red's been away. He hasn't called either, so I have no idea where he is or what he's been doing. They say no news is good news, but I do worry about him." [ and with that, she waved him back off to the outside. ]
[ It was nighttime, and Hoothoots were cooing, filling the air with their sounds. But Shou kept walking, distracted, until he reached the southern coast, staring out at the water route that looked like it led to the ocean. ]
That person... "Red"... he's her son, isn't he? He must have started his journey when he was ten, too, like kids seem to do here. And she hasn't seen or heard from him since... [ he frowns, discontent. ] She's worried about him, too... [ he heaves a sigh, surprisingly moody. ] If Kaoru knew I was here, or didn't know where I went, he'd miss me loads, too... damn. [ he closes his eyes. ] And it's almost our birthday...
[ but then, he seems to regain spirit, clenching a fist. ] Well, this is just Pallet Town, right?! Cerulean City isn't too far off from here, so I'll get back to the others quickly!
[ and then he takes a deep breath: ] But before that... even if you're not here with me for our birthday on the 9th, this song is for you, Kaoru!!
[ and then, he begins singing a rather energetic song, but in a capella -- with no instrument available to him, all he can use is his own voice. ]
"No matter how difficult the obstacle, there's a time when a man's just gotta do it. I'll probably be laughing three seconds later, after I swear to protect you... Fly high! Fly high! Take courage! Fly away! Fly away! Look straight ahead! Go east! Go west! No matter the journey -- so with a single tiny step, let's believe it'll begin!! There are wings on everyone's back... You're the one who taught me that! I believe, believe, believe! Though I may not have that super power... That's right, I feel like I can fly! Just thinking of you... gives me strength!"
[ and as he finishes the song, he lets out a triumphant cheer, punching a fist towards the sky. ]
All right! Haruka, everyone, wait for me!
[ and the entire time, he doesn't realize if someone was watching him nearby. ]
