Where: Saffron City
When: July 11th (forward-dated)
Summary: Pokémon battle
Rating: PG for pokéviolence?

Well, here it was. It was finally time for Hikari to find out just how far she had come as a Pokémon trainer. She had been training a lot, but there was only so much that training at the Training Center could actually tell her about how good she was getting as a pokémon trainer.
And while she could've picked someone else to battle with besides Lightning, it only seemed, well, right that she tried to test herself against her leader. She wasn't sure if she had a real chance at all at actually winning the pokémon battle.
But as far as Hikari was concerned that really didn't matter. What was more important was to figure out exactly where she stood as far as strategy and reacting went. Especially since there was a major weakness that she knew about on her team, one that she hadn't had a chance to work to rectify just yet. Hopefully Lightning wouldn't be using a lot of electric type pokémon during this battle. Or that even if she did her other pokémon would be enough to stop it.
... She should really buy a couple of ground move TMs the next chance she got. She had just been too busy to really get to the Goldenrod or Celadon shopping centers. Or start thinking about which of Takeru's pokémon that she had ended up getting that she should try to integrate on her team. Provided that they wanted to listen to her, obviously.
Either way, it was too late now to worry about it. What she could do was wait for Lightning and do her best.
