Action - Johto Woods
Who: Minamimoto Sho
Where: Off Routes in Johto
When: Backdated to all of July
Summary: Sho wanted to apologise to Belphe in his own special way. Combined with his lack of woods experience, well. He got lost.
Rating: G
Belphe had informed him that she'd forgiven him, but still. Sho felt like he should do something nice for her. What that something should be confused him; he wasn't really good with feeling obligated to someone else rather than the reverse. Upsetting people didn't matter, but somehow upsetting Bell mattered. He didn't like the feeling. He really rather hated it, so perusing the Pokedex and seeing the smile of the Snivy gave him an excuse and a plan.
He borrowed Bell's flying Pokemon and got himself dropped near where Snivy tended to live, taking along with him RZF, Nor, Nand, Tie, SD, and one of his younger Eevees; Xor. As soon, however, as they landed Eros realised that he wasn't going to get anywhere with RZF, Nand, or Xor he gave them a collection of disgusted looks and booked it back. It was at that point that Tie started trying to figure out where Sho had packed the Pokedex. Calling mom for help was going to happen, he just knew it.
Unfortunately while the rest of them had been watching their ride disappear back over the horizon, SD had a nervous breakdown resulting in yet another kleptomaniac incident where he stole the pokedex and hid it inside a hollow stump. Sho, meanwhile, straightened his shoulders and vowed (silently) to make the best of it. He grabbed his pack, made sure that the Pokemon had their smaller packs, and headed off to find a Snivy. A Snivy, and a way back.
The first couple of days went fine, until the twins saw something they just had to examine more closely, resulting in the group of Pokemon and Sho leaving the Route. Never a bright thing to do, really. Especially if you were as nature-stupid as Minamimoto Sho.
In short, they got lost. Very, very lost. This time, unlike last time, they weren't at a complete loss. Tie had learned how to cook, SD was able to use Ember with more direction (even if it sometimes still took several attempts), and in general they had enough to eat. Sho didn't sleep well without Bell to wrap up around, but the warm piles of fur helped him get enough rest to at least keep moving and looking.
Somewhere around the beginning of week two he found a Minon and a Plusle, which while not his goal was enough to cheer him up from the unfortunately inescapable admission that he was entirely lost. Completely and entirely lost.
Somewhere near the end of week two he finally found a Snivy, and he chased it all over the woods until he finally caught it. Or another one. It didn't really matter which. That Pokeball was put at the bottom of the bag so that he would NOT lose it. All the rest of this would be worth it if he could get back to Bell with the Snivy.
Then they backtracked to where Eros had left them off - specifically Tie and RZF found their way back and Sho finally realised that his Pokedex was missing. After something that was absolutely not at all a breakdown involving a three hour screed of higher mathematics mashed together with the construction of a seven foot tall branch-and-loam abstract sculpture SD shamefully gave back the machine.
Then he just had to call Bell for help.
Yup.
Any minute now.
