To say that Melfina was uneasy would have been an understatement. Of course, her expression remained even and serene as the eggs were arranged on a small indoor stand, each bunch nestled warmly in separate bins lined with blankets.

Tofu, her particularly hard-edged Spearow, was perched upon the Pokemon Center's welcome sign with the command to 'greet' anybody who came inside 'with kindness'... which would probably involve a rude squawk to the face in her case. In fact, Melfina's whole party was assigned gentle busy work.

Dr. Biscotti, whose Mime Jr. eggs were among those displayed, was working together with Candy the Clefairy and the ghostly Gumdrop tidying up the corner the eggs were occupying. Bitty, however, was busy hovering about his worried trainer, buzzing his two cents from time to time while the Ditto of the hour, Pancake, flip-flopped, tumbled, and somersaulted around to... er. Oversee the progress, she figured.

"I hope they come soon..."

... Or even come at all.

An excited Kovu peered over at the eggs from the counter, furrowing his eyebrows and smiling softly as he jumped over it, walking over to greet Melfina with a big smile.

"Hey, I said I'd be here, didn't I?" he said with a big grin, holding out his arms as if to say, 'I told you so.'

"So...are these up for grabs yet?" He asked, furrowing his brow and eying the cubone egg with interest.

"Which one is in there?"

Once again, Roxas found himself drifting towards the pokemon center after a day full of training. He was tired. He paused, letting the doors slide open before walking in. It was then that he spotted the girl with the pokemon eggs.

"Are you selling these?" He asked, coming over.

James was actually out for the day, deciding to maybe try some of the restaurants he had heard about. He hadn't tried them at all since he had kept himself in his hotel room for the most part, or was otherwise out training. He was not the best at training mind you, but he was getting there. He took a pit stop in his trek though, he had to make a stop at the pokemon center for his pokemon's sake. Though he was clearly caught off guard at the curious set up that was there. He was pretty familiar with eggs, considering he had found two of them when the flood had hit a while back.

Though, he wasn't expecting to find them to be on display like this. Or that squawk at him as he entered. That and there was a pretty girl who seemed to be there watching over the eggs. Curiosity, like it does for most people, got the better of him and so he approached her.

"Umm Hello there. What's umm. What's with all the eggs?"

Johan, glad to see Melfina busy at work with the eggs (and all of that busy work going smoothly at that), was tempted to stand back and watch for the moment. After all, he didn't want to interrupt anything.

... Of course, the desire to greet his friends, both Melfina and Pancake, was a lot greater than his desire to not stop anything, and with that in mind, Johan smiled and approached the group with a cheerful wave.

"Melfina--! Pancake--!"

She glanced up -- in alarm at first, but then with pleasant courtesy. Mel remembered this one from the device... And meeting him in person, she was glad to see that his eyes were kind.

"I'm happy to see that you were able to make it! ... All of them are healthy and ready to be adopted."

She leaned over the corner a little, tilting her head at the egg he had selected.

"... That one is Waffle's egg. Have you ever seen a Cubone before?"

Ammy had just made it into Violet earlier that day. She had been taking it slowly while traveling and taking frequent rests, still getting used to walking and all, but she had made it. And her partners hadn't seemed to mind - while she rested her legs, they had gotten to battle, so it was all good.

Having heard the previous day about the eggs that would be available, she couldn't help but be a bit curious. All Pokémon hatched from eggs, even the mammals? It sounded fascinating, and so she decided that she would at least see what the eggs looked like. Maybe even take one in, if permitted.

She found the stand where the eggs were displayed soon after they were put up - Sumiko walked next to her, to help her in case she lost her balance, but she hoped she wouldn't need it. She approached, and looked the eggs over curiously.

She'd received the message, and - as little experience as Asuka had with eggs - her curiosity had been too great to pass this up. She greeted the Spearow's squawk with a surprised, but firm nod, and then stepped inside to look around.

Spotting the eggs almost immediately, and the person who had to be the owner, she continued to walk forward and offered Melfina a polite smile.

"You're the one who made the announcement, right? ... Melfina?"

"A...cubone?"

Well, there was her answer. It sounded pretty cool though. Ma'am (http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/5278/50826095.png) jumped up on the table, narrowly avoiding all of the eggs except for this so called Waffle's, pawing at it gently and purring.

"Hey, get down from there!" Kovu gingerly picked her up and tucker her under his arm, laughing and rolling his eyes a little. "Sorry. She...doesn't like her pokeball."

As Roxas passed through the doors of the Pokemon Center, Tofu gave him an ear-piercing SQUAWK... to welcome him, no doubt, which prompted Bitty to whiz past Roxas to give the passive-aggressive bird a thorough talking-to.

Oblivious to the Poke-politics, Melfina smiled in subdued excitement at his interest.

"Oh... no, they aren't for sale. I'm giving them away."

"Hello, how are you this evening? The eggs -- um..."

She gestured to the collection of eggs shyly, picking up one of the lighter Spearow eggs and offering it to him to examine. Weigh, touch, smell... whatever he liked!

"... I'm giving them away. Would you like to take one? Any egg you like."

Nuku Nuku was a little late when arriving at the Pokemon Center. She had been distracted quite easily by various strings and other things that tended to catch a cat's interest.

Because of this, she looked a bit ashamed when she finally walked into the building. Especially after the Spearow had given her a good squawking to. Normally she was more interested in chasing birds, but she knew instinctively this one was not one to be trifled with.

Upon spotting the eggs, however, her face lit up and in her excitement she completely forgot that she had been more melancholy moments before.

"Oh! There are so many!" she gasped excitedly, "I bet they'll all be so cute!"

Pancake snapped to attention faster than Melfina did at a familiar face passing through the doors and wasted no time in splatting against the back of Johan's leg, squealing in unbridled joy before greeting him with the token spitty raspberry.

Mel brightened, clasping her hands together before moving around from the other side of the egg stand to greet him formally.

"Johan! ... I'm so happy you could make it!"

Tofu didn't hesitate in sounding the alarm when the peculiar, delicate-looking woman passed through the doors of the Center, indicating to Melfina to put on her friendliest face.

Strangely enough, nearly all of her Pokemon ceased their chores to wander closer to the newcomer with a level of their own curiosity (except for Gilliam Bit, who was too shy to do anything except admire her from afar and Tofu, who was oblivious to everything except finding new victims to squawk at).

Melfina glanced at her enthralled team with interest before smiling at the quiet woman, fidgeting a little. She probably had a way with animals...

"... Hello, miss. Would you like to adopt an egg?"

Rika approached the Center looking rather excited. She had never seen a pokémon egg in person, after all. Rika looked at each egg with interest, wondering just what kind of pokémon might be inside.

She approached Melfina. Rika decided it would be best to introduce herself before asking any questions about the eggs. "Hello, I'm Rika."

Tofu was... rather shocked, admittedly, that the woman didn't squeak or flinch at his forceful hello. But it was a pleasant surprise. The bird trilled and ruffled her feathers in respect as she passed by.

Melfina, unaware of the exchange, beamed merrily at her when she approached, nodding to answer her inquiry.

"Yes, I'm Melfina... Would you like to take an egg home tonight?"

James looked at the eggs a bit reluctantly, he had quite a few pokemon already and was having a hard enough time as it was trying to train them... But then again, new pokemon might help him out a bit too.

Taking the spearow egg and looking it over, he then glanced to the others. He was curious about what all she had to be honest.

"Giving them away? That's awful kind of you. So.." he placed the egg back down as he glanced at them all again.

"What are in each egg?"

Seeing somebody so excited over the egg clusters was pretty encouraging -- and a little bit contagious, admittedly! Mel was inclined to stand and give a happy glance to her Magnemite before nodding in agreement.

"Hatchlings really are ... pretty cute. Oh, I hope you'll take one!"
Gilliam Bit beeped and spun its magnets in formal agreement, but not before whirring around the woman once or twice to inspect.

Asuka's smile became warmer in response, and she offered a hand to shake. She'd thought it had been a kind gesture, if somewhat unusual, to offer free eggs, but meeting this woman made the whole thing make more sense. Melfina gave off that kind of aura.

"I'd be happy to, if that's all right," she answered honestly. "You've really got an impressive amount of them."

Mel watched the trainer come in with shy interest... smiling happily when she made her way to the egg stand.

"Hello... I'm Melfina. It's..." The Magnemite, who had remained silent until this point, whirred over and buzz-beeped a greeting of his own.

"... It's nice to meet you. This is Gilliam Bit." Glancing down at one of the bigger egg clusters, she lifted one of the heavy, metallic eggs and cradled it in the nook of her arm, reminiscing on the time with Bitty was just an egg himself.

"Would you like to adopt an egg, Miss Rika?"

Melfina's eyes lit up at the feline Pokemon, clasping her hands together in admiration and sighing.

"Oh, don't worry... It's alright. Pancake doesn't care for the Pokeball, either. It's very nice of you to oblige her... She's very beautiful, if you don't mind me saying so."

Rika smiled back at Melfina, giggling as the Magnemite also greeted her. "It's nice to meet you too, Melfina and Gilliam Bit!"

She smiled even more at the thought of adopting an egg. "I would love to!"

The Magnemite was watched with intense curiosity for a moment or two before Nuku Nuku remembered her manners and gave Melfina a polite bow. "Thank you so much for sharing your eggs, Miss!"

She then turned over to look at the eggs, smiling gently at how they were displayed. "Ah, it's clear you care very much about Pokemon!"

After a few moments of careful deliberation, Nuku Nuku picked up the Cleffa egg and looked it over.

"I... can't really tell them apart. Is there some way?"

"Wow, really?" Roxas was surprised and feeling rather lucky. Hatching pokemon from eggs was easier than catching them.

"What's this one?" He asked, pointing to a pink egg.

Kovu gives a huge grin and ruffles the cat's hair affectionately, an indignant 'mow' erupting from her throat.

"I think so too." He coo'd, just to bother her. "She's a fiesty little thing...and she seems to have taken a liking to that cubone egg of yours..." He laughed, watching his cat reaching for it and whining.

"I guess if it's not taken, I may as well give in to her...she's a spoiled little thing."
