Mountains as far as the eye can see... or maybe there's only the one.
Who: Twilight Sparkle (friendyousohard), Applejack (buckyouup), Rainbow Dash (bestofthebest), Spike (rather_eat_turquoise), and Cadence (loveisabattlefield)
Where: MOUNT MORTAR! Also the rest of the path between Ecruteak and Mahogany, but mostly Mount Mortar.
When: From November 4th to November 20th. Getting lost in the mountains! It's a thing.
Summary: The ponies are going to Mahogany! But first they have to cross... MOUNT MORTAR.
Rating: PG for comedic violence and a high chance of angry cave dwellers. Also Equestria-swearing.

So here they were. After all the delays and setbacks and basically just lounging around Ecruteak looking for something to do (well, okay, Twilight had spent all her time in the library, but for the others it was harder to find ways to entertain themselves) they were on their way again. Off to Mahogany, a small town with lots to offer, from the Ice Gym to the Lake of Rage just to the north! The whole group couldn't wait.
There was just one problem... Getting there.
As the group stared up at Mount Mortar, the gateway between Ecruteak and Mahogany, Twilight grimaced.
"Did everypony remember to pack repels?"
