it's a real-life cooking mama...

[(Catch-all for any goings-on during Peko's birthday. The whole day. I'll throw up some prompts but feel free to ignore them and thread amongst yourselves. ALSO FEEL FREE TO GO OUTSIDE THE SUBTHREADS ALSO.)
In any case, Peko will be spending the whole day being tailed by a shiny Eevee wearing a red bow, and a Weavile following not too far behind. To keep an eye on the Eevee. She still hasn't figured out what to do with most of the day, so she's pretty open to following her -- she can actually safely call two of the three 'friends' now -- around wherever they would like to go.
From the afternoon on, though, she has a plan. She managed to get a cooking area to herself in one of the inns in the city, and is working on making okonomiyaki with everyone. So everyone can have what they like to eat and all work together. She also got non-alcoholic wine to go with it.
After dinner she has several mystery movies (none of which involve murder in any kind), like The Pink Persian and The Great Shuppet Caper as per Rose's suggestions. She didn't pick mystery movies because she knows Kuzuryuu likes them. Nope.]

They're probably all in Nanami's room since let's face it that's been sdr2 hq for the past month what with player 2. I hope you're all ready for a selection of mystery movies recommended by Rose Lalonde not to feature any murder whatsoever. Or whatever you suggest, Peko is open to pretty much anything. As long as it doesn't involve murder.
Maybe someone has recommend a swordsman movie for them to watch?]

Though Peko will probably notice a second shiny Eevee running over to her and her friend before she'll see Tsumiki. Because hi!! Hi hi hi she's a shiny Eevee too do you want to play your bow is so pretty her name is Amelanosis what's your name hi!!!!

[Peko might have found herself a comfortable spot under a shady tree to let her Eevee run around. Though there's less running than there is casual poking about at blades of grass and leaves and there is so much to see!! LIKE AN ENTIRE OTHER EEVEE HELLO FRIEND she doesn't have a name yet but she is very!! excited!! to meet you!!
She's also kind of tired because wow jeez this is a lot of running around but there is so much to see!!
It takes Peko a moment to answer Tsumiki, distracted by all that shiny fluffy fluffy fur.]
Thank you, Tsumiki. [Is that the response to happy birthday wishes? Peko just doesn't know, but that seems a safe enough guess. She doesn't know what the box is but she kind of hopes it isn't a present because accepting a present is difficult!!]
Is she yours? [It doesn't hurt to ask. Look at all that fluff.]

She is! Nanami-san gave her to me as an egg for Valentine's Day...her name is Amelanosis. That one is yours...?

[Peko's expression actually looks almost peaceful for a half-second before her expression returns to its usual impassiveness.
And her master is thinking about names!! Names are very very important to both her and the guy she was with earlier so she needs to think of the perfect one!! Or something, she's not really sure.
Nice to meet you Amelanosis let's go sit by her master or not because Peko stands up to receive Tsumiki's present with a brief flash of deer-in-the-headlights.]

These are beautiful... [Also there's an envelope? She shifts the box to one hand to pull that out with a questioning look. Tsumiki what have you done, you're going to overwhelm her.]

But yes, Peko is definitely awake. She's sitting on her bed with her legs tucked under her, her fingers buried in the ruff of a shiny Eevee wearing a bright red bow.]

[The Eevee is asleep, so she doesn't appear to be getting up to open it herself any time soon.]

[Hi there, Nanami. Peko makes sure to grab the boxes to make sure they won't fall off the bed and shifts back away from the edge. There's no way the baby Eevee will be able to sleep through the bed moving beneath her, though she doesn't seem all that upset. Rather, she just lets out a wide yawn, exposing all her teeth, and crawls over to wherever Nanami has seated herself and makes to crawl into her lap. Literal least-combative Pokémon. In fact, it rather looks like she might try to go right back to sleep. Incredible.]
...Yes. [Nanami figured it out faster than Peko had that morning, tbh. Well done.] I think I might name her Shiyo... written with the characters for a gift.
[Is. Is that an okay name, Nanami? She's kind of looking for confirmation here.]

Nanami puts up no fuss with the lap crawling, instead making certain the Eevee seems comfortable, absently petting it to help it drift back to sleep. She can relate to your sleep needs, Eevee-bro. ]
That sounds like a pretty name. [ Peko, go with your heart...Nanami literally just names all hers after vidya characters! ]

[ She's not telling, wow. But if Peko opens the bigger box, she will find a rather large stuffed Mareep, as well as...a Mareep-patterned pajama set. Apparently she thought that Peko's black pajama get up required MORE POKEMON?
The jewelry boxes are a little less childish: one has a fairly simple necklace with a little sword pendant, and the other - okay yeah no this is totally a bracelet with Pokemon charms on it, that's a little childish. The charms were apparently picked out specially, though: it should have members of Peko's team, sans the newest ones Nanami didn't know about. ]

[But she will open them, starting with the smaller boxes and ending with the largest. With each one she opens, she just looks more and more, well, baffled, though the gentle way she handles everything shows that she at least appreciates them that much.
A bit of an amused hum at the sight of the pajamas -- really, Nanami, her plain ones were fine -- as she folds them to carefully put them back in the box they came in, then she looks to the other girl.]
