Who: Anyone in [community profile] route_29!
Where: Standing in front of your PC!
When: The Week of September 14 through 20

Log:

HOW TO USE THIS LOG:

• We've provided seven headers, one for each day, swarm, and location!

• Characters currently in the area who are offering to send out swarm Pokemon on that day should respond to that header with offers/an IC starter of choice/etc!

• Characters who have incorporated an offer to send out Pokemon in one of their own posts are also invited to link to their posts on this log if they so desire!

• Characters looking for swarm Pokemon respond to available starters and thread from there!

• Threads completed on this log do count towards AC, provided they meet our usual standards!

• Please try to keep threads reasonably on-topic; while we're in no way discouraging characters from making friends and building CR on this log, please utilize network posts or IC inboxes for threads purely relating to general gameplay conversations.

styxiedust: and not your penis alamode (Yusuke ✿ This better be a legit desert)

[personal profile] styxiedust 2014-09-16 08:06 pm (UTC)(link)
They look like a perfume bottle, too, don't they?

[A pause.]

Pheromingos.

[Botan why.]

I'll take one of the little dears off of you, sir.
styxiedust: (Blush ✿ She bit a glass in half)

[personal profile] styxiedust 2014-09-16 08:16 pm (UTC)(link)
[Her Ghost senses are tingling.

Awww, but look at it, it's like a little flying pumpkin...bat...thing.]

Oh, my goodness, Yukio, really? I'd be quite honored to have one, they're so cute!
heartofmetal: (Pondering)

[personal profile] heartofmetal 2014-09-16 08:57 pm (UTC)(link)
[Greed, you have fine taste in cute.]

There are different sizes... do you have any preferences?

[He points the camera at a group of small, large, larger, giant.] This is the first time I've seen Pokémon have different sizes.
heartofmetal: (Surrounded by danger)

Video;

[personal profile] heartofmetal 2014-09-16 08:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah... especially this one [He points at one larger one who just shamelessly attached herself to Eds arm.] I'm not sure why.
heartofmetal: (Huh...?)

[personal profile] heartofmetal 2014-09-16 09:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Jack-o'-lanterns?

[What are those?]
heartofmetal: (That was a bit too close)

[personal profile] heartofmetal 2014-09-16 09:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Sure. You can see behind me a reference to different sizes, if you'd like to pick.
heartofmetal: (Ahaha... whoops)

[personal profile] heartofmetal 2014-09-16 09:04 pm (UTC)(link)
[The Pumpkaboo attached to Ed's arm gives a small smile to Atsuro... then again, when isn't she smiling? Such a happy pumpkin!!]

Haha... ha. There are a few different sizes for these ones. Do you have a preference?
heartofmetal: (Nervous laughter)

[personal profile] heartofmetal 2014-09-16 09:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I think it's better than getting stomped by an army of raining dogs.

[Seriously, he still has terrible memories of that day.]

Though thanks. There are a few different sizes for this guy. You can pick whichever size you want, since they won't be ending anytime soon...

[Lavender Town: now a home for pumpkins.]
heartofmetal: (It should be possible)

[personal profile] heartofmetal 2014-09-16 09:07 pm (UTC)(link)
[Ooh. Ed had been thinking about getting another Water-type. With luck, these guys may be... or even if they aren't, they look interesting.]

Could I get one?
babel_hacker: (AT-LOW | The Apprentice)

[personal profile] babel_hacker 2014-09-16 10:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Got it! I wasn't expecting anything in return, but I might keep that in mind depending on what pops up next?

[Since the Pokemon are very new to everyone, Atsuro would probably accept it.]
babel_hacker: (omg this is awesome)

[personal profile] babel_hacker 2014-09-16 10:41 pm (UTC)(link)
[Did someone say cookies.]

I'll definitely accept cookies in exchange for them! What kind of cookies are they?
babel_hacker: (Grin | Bright)

[personal profile] babel_hacker 2014-09-16 10:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Yep, you can! I can send it over to your PC later, Ed.
babel_hacker: (Thinking | Is that so?)

[personal profile] babel_hacker 2014-09-16 10:47 pm (UTC)(link)
[D'aww, how cute.]

Hm... I dunno how different it'd be to raise a small one compared to a larger one. Maybe one somewhere in the middle?
enjoymyatelier: have fun storming the castle, kayneth (a totally honorable mage duel)

[personal profile] enjoymyatelier 2014-09-16 10:47 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't see why not to send you something later, really. Even if they're only around for one day, they tend to be around in large numbers and at a low enough level that they're easy to catch, so it's not like it'd be much of an inconvenience.
babel_hacker: (Thinking | Working on something)

[personal profile] babel_hacker 2014-09-16 10:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks!

[Hmm...]

If they're Electric-types and warm their bodies up under the sun... Maybe it's to gather energy? Sort of like solar powered electricity.
superordinary: (pic#5714668)

[personal profile] superordinary 2014-09-16 10:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Then they'd be like a living solar panel! That's pretty cool.
enjoymyatelier: just imagine the crossed arms and this is von karma as balls (are you cross examining a parrot)

[personal profile] enjoymyatelier 2014-09-16 10:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, that likely would be a wise idea. Do make sure it doesn't become too much of a nuisance if that does turn out to be the case, then.
babel_hacker: (Pixie | Earliest contract)

[personal profile] babel_hacker 2014-09-16 11:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah! I know a lot of electric-types usually generate them inside their body, but it's pretty cool these guys might include the sun as well.

Actually, it's neat to see how each Pokemon might work on a biological level.

[Science isn't really his thing, but he can give an exception for Pokemon. Such bias.]
sincereheart: (daijoubu)

[personal profile] sincereheart 2014-09-16 11:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, jack-o'-lanterns! You know, like pumpkins that have silly faces on them! You see them a lot around Halloween! That's what these are, right?
enjoymyatelier: just imagine the crossed arms and this is von karma as balls (are you cross examining a parrot)

[personal profile] enjoymyatelier 2014-09-16 11:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Some Pokemon are surprisingly more useful than they look when you learn more about them, which is the reason I went out of my way to catch one in the first place... but it's certainly going to be an adventure figuring these out.

I'm grateful for you assistance, then --- just a moment, please, while I catch one.

[...given that she asked for it, he'll go ahead and get the most annoying one before returning...]
enjoymyatelier: zach. they're here. (migrane's a comin.)

[personal profile] enjoymyatelier 2014-09-16 11:44 pm (UTC)(link)
...They're stranger than usual, to be sure, but I'm not nearly as offended by their existence as I am by the animate ice cream cones and trash bags.

[Kayneth stop hating on Gen 5.]

Then again, their existence is presently more irritating...
enjoymyatelier: it kind of smells (wow that is just really gross)

[personal profile] enjoymyatelier 2014-09-16 11:51 pm (UTC)(link)
That depends; have you encountered anything interesting?

[...he just looks extremely bemused at that.]

Ah, yes. I suppose I'll just... scramble some eggs at them, then, as I'm quite certain that's closest analogue that wouldn't involve kidnapping and possible brain damage.
superordinary: (pic#7776151)

[personal profile] superordinary 2014-09-16 11:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Agreed! I've always liked animals, and I used to be in the animal club back in junior high, so this sort of thing fascinates me. Pokémon sure are interesting creatures.
enjoymyatelier: i am just done with this shit (ugh whatever)

[personal profile] enjoymyatelier 2014-09-16 11:59 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm of half a mind to agree with you, but haunted objects are a bit less strange than some of the other things I've seen here.

At least, I presume they're haunted.
enjoymyatelier: maybe he should check the foundations, come to think of it. (red car. good point.)

[personal profile] enjoymyatelier 2014-09-17 12:02 am (UTC)(link)
They come in different sizes? Now, that's interesting. Do you know if they have any appreciable differences in skill as a result of that...?

Likely not, but either the largest or the smallest you can find would be fine.
