It was only a small softening of Scar's face, but Lust knew what it meant. She didn't expect him to be any different, or for things to suddenly change between them. Everything was just clear and laid out between them now. There was no more wondering or worrying or carefully stepping around each other. She didn't need a midnight kiss or loving words or anything else but the reassurance that he did care. He did want them to share their lives.
