NPC Grunts aren't exactly known for their intelligence, Snake. That's typically why they're Grunts, and the admins and leaders make the decisions for the teams.

Anyway, Camerupt was hurt by poison, which isn't fun. But she thinks her Pokemon will be okay, since he seems to just be throwing more snakes at it.

Maybe an earthquake with randomly generated power is better than the other one? Or Grunts are dumb. Who knows? A case could probably be made for either. It's the latter.
