For a moment, time pretty much stands still for Dio (figuratively, not literally, he's about two parts away from that). He'd had a plan going in here, a simple plan, an impossible to screw up plan. He'd throw out Murkrow, it'd probably lose, he'd falsely boost Peridot's confidence and then proceed to slaughter the rest of her team with a single Pokemon.
And now his Noivern is staggered and nosediving into the ground because this...this complete trash was somehow able to knock it out. It's like that idiot Joestar getting the upper hand on him. It's wrong. It shouldn't be happening. People like him, Dio, shouldn't be able to have their plans go awry at the hands of lesser beings. It just shouldn't happen. It doesn't matter that he has more Pokemon and can right his plan as soon as he stops freaking out. He shouldn't be in this situation.
“You, you knocked it out?! How could you...how could your garbage Pokemon manage to do that?”
He's still having trouble processing it, and his hand drops towards the pocket of his uniform, almost like he's looking for something, but then he remembers he doesn't have it here. So mercifully everyone is spared this small kid trying to pull a knife in the middle of a Pokemon battle. And the ridiculousness would only be compounded when the background is taken into account. So instead of going for that, he'll grab another Pokeball, and from the looks of it, he almost seems like he's about to cry from the injustice of everything.
“I won't allow you and your rat to make a mockery of me, Dio! Kadabra!”
He'll kick off the next round of things with his level 59 Psychic Pokemon. Surely this one won't let him down. Given how long it took him to catch the damn thing, and the mood he's in right now, it better not.
