I suppose not officially, we never had any ceremony or silly thing like that. But those aren't necessary. We...lived as wedded people do. Mostly.

[She sighs. 'Gone home'. What a quaint way to put it, as though it involved simply making a short journey to another country. It's euphemistic and unfair. She's used the term 'gone' most often, but here and now, it simply seems cruel.]

[And it's been occurring to her again and again how little anyone knew of them, their life together. How often has she found herself explaining to close friends and companions that she had shared her life in that way with someone, even if it never came up in conversation.]

We're very private people, it's hardly something either of us ever talked about. It's...it's a long sad story, Scar's and mine, let's leave it at that. But we have no home. Or life beyond this place. So no, he hasn't 'gone home'. He's returned to the grave, the same as I will when this place is done with me.
