Tulio shifted his attention to Miguel, once again adjusting his grip on him, holding him by the shoulder with one hand. Searching for his eyes, he spoke directly to him, in that sort of urgent, hushed way of his. "It's true, Miguel, he's great at conning - that's why I had him come with me - we could use him."
That last part was even more hushed, of course, frantically whispered, so Envy wouldn't hear, because again, Tulio was trying to keep on his good side.
"Think about it, three of us, it'd be great", he kept whispering, "trust me, he knows what he's doing. You don't have to like it - I don't like him - but we can tolerate him. Less effort, more pay. Tons of gold for we, eh?"
He was smiling, but it was a little strained, a bit pleading. "We can always get rid of him later."
