Heather didn't expect to hear everything. The people here-- almost all of them-- all had stories too big for one conversation. God knew SHE did, too. Besides, friendly relationship aside, he didn't know her too well and Heather saw that as reason enough that she wasn't quite worthy of being told much. A life story wasn't something you entrusted to random acquaintances.
