Log:
The moon hung lowly overhead as Batman and Ace raced through the thick snow. The only sounds that could be heard were that of a cape fluttering, boots stomping, and Ace panting heavily.
After his evening with Kneesocks, he'd awoken early that morning with Ace, in order to get a good start on their journey towards Violet City. He'd been sure to stock up on supplies before leaving Cherrygrove, as it would be a far longer journey than his trip from New Bark had taken him. Though the snow was thick, it didn't seem to impede Batman or his partner in the slightest. His boots were specifically designed for traction on most any terrain, and Ace's padded paws allowed him decent footing as well.
Coming to stop beneath a large tree, Batman glanced down at his partner. They'd been on the move practically all day, and Ace had battled a fair share of wild Pokemon. His beady eyes darted up at his master, and he barked indignantly, as though asking why they had stopped. Batman couldn't help but smirk. Tiny as he was, Ace had just as much determination and vigor as his master.
"Five minutes, Ace," muttered the Dark Knight. "You won't do us any good if you tire yourself out completely. Understood?” Ace bared his fangs, growling defiantly.
“Ace.” Batman glared at the pup, and this seemed to be enough of a warning. Ace relented, sitting obediently. He was reluctant to acknowledge it, but his master was right.
“Good boy.” Batman shrugged off the pack that had been given to him back in New Bark Town, reaching in to pull out a potion. He didn’t want to keep stopped for too long. The snow was still coming down hard, and the weather was only getting colder. And who knew what other strangers were walking this same path?
