Miles still does not approve of this idea-- but oh! He just remembers something.

He rummages inside his jacket pocket for a small paper bag, pulling out a candle.

"I was going to give this to someone for Christmas.. guess I'll have to buy another one," is all he mutters as he places the candle on the floor, making sure it's not anywhere people can run into, and instructing Pip to use his (still-weak) Ember. Soon enough, there's a small warm light sitting between them.
